| Happy Day After Christmas! For me, this is the BEST day. Just me, Mike, and the kidlets and furbutts. The calm after the storm. It is almost 9 am (we slept in). The kids are playing quietly. Olivia (4 yr old) is happily ignoring all the expensive My Little Pony Ponyville stuff she had a FIT for and got and is busy playing with some $5 wooden building blocks from the Dollar Store. LOL Lauren and Michel (13 and 11) are busy playing Pokemon on there DS's (THANK YOU in laws! - they actually bought those and since being opened both kids have been quietly and happily playing) We all got Christmas money and Christmas giftcards so I don't even have to cook this morning if I don't want to. We can either all get dressed and go out for breakfast, or me and the kids can stay in our jammies and send Mike out for it. December 26th is definitely my favorite day of the year.

No Longer a Member | I LOVE the day after Christmas! It is such a relief to have the world turned back on after a day of it being asleep! I always feel weird on holidays because stores are closed, TV is on a strange schedule. I find it comforting when all those things return to normal. Today, we'll take down our tree and put the decorations away, and we'll put our family room back in order. |

| Well here I am the day after Christmas back at work I did all the cooking but my daughter had the day at her house this year so it was not a big deal to get up this am. My house was clean when I got home last night. I always loved the day after when the kids were small. Everyone seemed to love each other and no bickering because they had so much to share and play with. Enjoy your families because they grow up toooooo fast. Hugs, |

| I always love the week after Christmas. My mom is off the whole week (the only 7 days she gets off the whole yr, other than wknds) We got up and were standing in line at 6am when walmart opened this morning. We got a lot of the gift sets for half price and I got a 6.5 ft prelit tree for my house next year for cheap! Then we went to belks to get some snowmen ornaments (75% off!) so she can do her tree all in snowmen next year. The we went to breakfast.. all before 9am. We are hitting up the Savannah malls tomorrow.

| I agree, time goes so fast with kids. My sons were over yesterday and we had a great day together. In the morning when only one son had gotten here yet, I was remembering the way it used to be. This is the first year I haven't decorated or hung up their Christmas stockings. When they were young (actually even into their teen years ) they LOVED Legos and always got them for Christmas and we would spend a good part of Christmas day putting Lego stuff together. Such a simple thing but such a nice memory. I really enjoyed those years.. This year it was playing Guitar Hero and Wii games. I tried Guitar Hero for the first time and it was fun! I was surprised I could actually do it. I don't necessarily like all the music on those games, but it was fun to try it and impress my kids. So, things change, kids grow up and move out and we enjoy those brief times we get to spend with them. So, enjoy your kids everyone ~ have fun with them and don't sweat the "small" stuff. |
