I agree, time goes so fast with kids. My sons were over yesterday and we had a great day together. In the morning when only one son had gotten here yet, I was remembering the way it used to be.
This is the first year I haven't decorated or hung up their Christmas stockings. When they were young (actually even into their teen years
) they LOVED Legos and always got them for Christmas and we would spend a good part of Christmas day putting Lego stuff together. Such a simple thing but such a nice memory.
I really enjoyed those years..
This year it was playing Guitar Hero and Wii games.
I tried Guitar Hero for the first time and it was fun! I was surprised I could actually do it.
I don't necessarily like all the music on those games, but it was fun to try it and impress my kids.
So, things change, kids grow up and move out and we enjoy those brief times we get to spend with them.
So, enjoy your kids everyone ~ have fun with them and don't sweat the "small" stuff.
