| ![]() Well, folks, let me tell you something... ![]() I have Tmobile. It had WONDERFUL reception in Wichita KS because they had more access to towers there. Now I live in North Austin and my reception has dropped noticeably. But it is just because Tmobile doesn't run the gamit down here as far as owning towers. So ask around about who has the best service in your city. Every company has the ability to "port" numbers in from other carriers, and your old carrier cannot, by law, keep the number. There should be no charge. We have had 2 razors in our home over the last two years. They have both sucked, not very durable and the battery life is poor. And I fix them all the time at work (I work for Sprint). I think that the moisture indicator is MADE to show water damage even if the phone never got wet. I don't like them at all. Like I said, I work for a Sprint store, and I don't suggest you stay with the company. I won't switch my service because I don't want to cancel my Tmobile contract, I don't want to lose my sidekick, and I sure as he** don't want to deal with Sprint customer service. I deal with it enough every day. Blech. I can't believe you waited that long on hold! And I hate that they outsource their customer service because half the time the CS reps don't speak fluent english. Now a new legislation has passed that if you want to take your phone from one company, other networks can activate that phone. BUT, the sucky thing that Sprint did was make all their phones without a sim card, so they can't use other phones from other networks on their "technology", and you can't use any other phone besides the one you buy from Sprint on their network. Smart, huh? ![]() There is a great article in the most recent Consumer Reports magazine about national cell carriers. I bet all cell phone consumers could benefit from this knowledge. So, I love Tmobile, they have great data plan pricing and fun phones. I hate razors, I hate sprint. There's my 2 cents. ![]()

Also, I want to say that I just got a new T-Mobile Dash http://www.engadget.com/2006/10/11/t...e-dash-review/ It is a Smart Phone (data phone) and it is great!!! I just love it. I just got it, so I am just learning about it. It is a bit bigger than the Razr, but not by much and it is wonderful!!! ![]() I had a Razr and I loved the small sleek size and I didn't have any mechanical problems with it, but the battery life sucked and it did not get good reception. My daughter had one too and she couldn't get service in her house in the middle of town. Now, she has the Dash and gets reception in her house just fine. If you like to text, and get on the internet via wi fi or some other data plan, then you should consider the Dash!

Oh, another thing, when I moved to Austin, my reception was pretty poor but it has gotten better since I've lived here a few months. Our phones usually register our Customer Service Area, and it took a while for mine to get used to a new area. New meaning to the term "smart phone," huh?
