| For those who have lost loved ones this year... I know that several members of YT have lost loved ones this year and YT recently lost a family member as well, so it made me think of a poem that a coworker gave me several years ago after the passing of my grandfather. She lost her father the day before & found this poem as she was going through his things in the months after. I read it to my family on Christmas. Of course, I had everyone crying but I knew we were all thinking about him anyway. Merry Christmas from Heaven - John Mooney I still hear the songs I still see the lights I still feel your love on cold wintry nights. I still share your hopes and all your cares I’ll even remind you to please say your prayers. I just want to tell you you still make me proud You stand head and shoulders above all the crowd. Keep trying each moment to stay in His grace I came here before you to help set your place. You don’t have to be perfect all the time He forgives you the slip if you continue to climb. To my family and friends please be thankful today I’m still close beside you in a new special way. I love you all dearly now don’t shed a tear cause I’m spending my Christmas with Jesus this year.

| As I was searching for the above poem online, I found this one too that I liked.... " I'm Spending Christmas with Jesus this Year" I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below with tiny lights like heaven stars reflecting on the snow The sight is so spectacular Please wipe away that that tear For I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year I hear the many Christmas songs That people hold so dear O', the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. For I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring for it's beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart. but, through our memories so dear.. We're never far apart. I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place Can you just imagine Christmas with Our Savior.......face-to-face. I'll ask him to light your spirit As I tell him of your Love. Then I'll pray for 'One another' As you lift your eyes above. So please let your heart be joyful and let your spirit sing for I'm spending Christmas in heaven and I'm walking with the king.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | The poems are beautiful. I'm having a hard time right now missing my husband and that really made me smile/cry. To everyone who lost someone. They're forever in our hearts but very missed. To my husband...Merry Christmas baby - I hope you're proud of me......It's only been three months soo to be 4 since you went to the Lord.... I'm really trying to get by, but miss you every single day. The girls miss you too....Chanel still does her smiley faces & I always think of you and what a kick you got out of it. I have tears as I'm writing this and can only believe you know what's in my heart. Hugs to all who lost someone - I can't write anymore right now but this is a very touching thread.

Thinking of you this Christmas. May the many memories the two of you shared fill your heart. Thank you Sadies Mom for starting this thread, I was thinking we need to remember how many have lost loved ones this year. My church always does poinsettias for everyone who has lost someone this year. It is amazing to see how many fill the stage. My grandmother died at the end of February at the age of 103 1/2 -- she was healthy & wise up until nearly the end, she died of a broken heart, after the passing of one of her sons - she had lived all those yrs with all 6 of her children. I know my mom & her siblings will struggle this Christmas. We will have what was always known as Grandma's Christmas next Sunday -- I am hoping that at least 60 of my relatives still gather (oh, yeah, the family is big & yrs ago we started having the gathering in a fellowship hall of one of my aunt's church & there is a huge gym for the children to play in)

I'm so sorry about the passing of your grandmother. My S-I-L recently lost her great grandmother who was 104. Like your grandmother, she was healthy & wise until almost the end. I think her body just finally gave out before her mind did. Prayers to your family!!!

V - I know this time of year has to be hard for you. But he is proud of you, its impossible not to be. I'm praying for you and your family. These poems were really, really beautiful. and I haven't lost someone in 6 years (my grandma), but this time of year still hits pretty hard. Thank you so much!

I've been really trying to be strong but typing what I just said really hurt my heart... I'll try to make sense but you all got me crying.. I have a feeling this thread will affect quite a few people and just want to say this - -people we lost ARE in a better place....There's some days I wonder where our world is going.... but believing in heaven and afterlife is a big help if you get sad. I try to picture my husband watching over us as I struggle thru the days of this new life....and every milestone I hit, I tell him about it....but today feel really sad ... Life is so short and we need to count the blessings we have now - and thank those in our life but gone. We were blessed to have them | |

| Beautiful, thanks for sharing...yes, it hit home for me this year. We lost my husbands sister this week...and we chose to celebrate her life and trying very hard not dwell on her sudden death, she was 55 years old. Christmas will still come and we will be there with her husband and son with many sweet memories...and now I have this lovely poem to share. May we all find comfort knowing our loved ones are spending Christmas in Heaven with Jesus, bless all that have lost a loved one and give them strength to endure, rely on memories, sweet memories...

| What beautiful poems and I'm crying my eyes out here. I don't think I'll ever get over the loss of my beautiful Mom. Holidays and special occasions are just not fun any more...life isn't fun. To all who have lost loved ones this year, my heart goes out to you and I know how hard it is. Sending hugs to each and every one of you! Thanks Christie, for the poems!

| This definetly has me crying. My dad died 82 days ago and I feel like I'm gonna die. He was my best friend in the whole world and I'm barely hanging on without him. I have never felt such pain in my life. I know he is in Heaven and was excited to meet Jesus, but I need him here with me. He was only 65 and a couple days. I really feel like God ripped me and my dad off! I am a Christian and so was my dad, but my pastor said its ok for me to be mad at God. He knows my heart and understands. But I am really mad. I can't even go to church anymore, I just sit there and cry. Christmas will be 3 months exactly and it is going to be hard. I have 3 kids and a hubby to try and take care of, but I'm not doing such a great job. This is a good thread and I know alot of people have broken hearts, also. I just don't know what to do and this pain and ache in my heart and chest feels like it is going to kill me. Thanks for the thread though.... Lori
