| I will be I work at a corporate office for a chain of grocery stores. But they usually let us go early on Christmas Eve. This is the first year I haven't taken vacation the week of Christmas, but this year I have an assistant and she asked off and since I was off for Thanksgiving I couldn't very easily say no But I have 3 days vacation that I HAVE to take before the end of the year. I'll take one next week, but they will have to get a temp the day after Christmas and Friday after.

| I work for an attorney. If the Court House is open, we are open. Bummer. Hopefully we'll get off early.

| When I worked retail I used to have to work every Christmas Eve and then the day after Christmas. At least the mall I worked at closed at 6pm on Christmas Eve, but for some reason opened at 8am the day after Christmas! I definitely don't miss those days and now I am very patient and understanding when shopping during the busy holiday season. |

YT 2000 Club Member | My husband works at the coal docks loading boats at night and he just informed me that he might have to work as a Canadian ship that is a big client of theirs just requested loading for Dec. 24 and it would be his shift!!They are trying to get it to push ahead for the 22 or 23 or even push back to the 27. They are union and some of the guys are complaining because Dec. 24 is a holiday in their contract that they are supposed to have off. We'll see how it works out.
