| LOL, I was teasing you guys right back! My husband is very careful not to mention age to me cause he is a few years younger. Bless his heart he always talks like we're the same age! My little man is having trouble seeing so I think games are not going to work. Thanks for the suggestion though. And a Bible cover sounds like a great idea. |

| My husband's aunts are hard to shop for, although they are only barely 50. I got one a SMALL Vera Bradley purse, and another I got a plush blanket and slippers. Last year I got them scarves. The year before that I got them baskets of bread, cookies and soup mixes from our small local bakery. One of them recently went on a very successful diet so I didn't feel right getting food. We only have a few "elders" but I find that baskets of food and cookies go over well unless there are diet restrictions. I read an article today about getting them a new address book and helping them address their christmas cards, or getting gifts from them to the young children and letting them address them. I know sometimes they don't have room for stuff, but they might appreciate a replacement of something like a microwave, pots & pans, cutting board, coffee pot, teapot, etc. I always get my grandmother chocolate and sometimes a gift cert to the cafe by her work. I can't believe she still works part time but she bags at the grocery store and she loves it! She gets to ring all the 21's... She kind of gets to manage all the teenagers and keep them in line.

| My grandparents always love getting stationary sets, cards (for all occasions) and note cards, mailing envelopes and stamps. But it all in a nice box (to use for storage later) or basket with some nice pens and stickers....that is always a great gift!

| Another one we have done before....was a big box of food.........we went and filled a box full of groceries.....nonperishables and then even meat items too. You know, things that they will use or use most. Also, a nice soft/comfy robe and good house shoes are always a nice gift!

Get your religious lady a nice pin and a Bible cover. Get your youngest one a scrapbook for her new baby so she document from the beginning. (There's a lot of really adorable dog ones out there that are like 4x8 or 5x7 themed books.) | |
