I just sent my money for registration and booked the hotel. Hopefully, there is still some booth/tables still available for vendors. That week will be a busy one. I will be in Vegas for another convention until Thursday, fly home and head North!!!

Hopefully, I can get an early enough flight out of Vegas and get on the road to MO by Thursday evening, other wise it will just be a long drive on Friday.

Does anyone know of any non expensive hotels that we can stay in for Thursday night that is not to far from the Plaza....So far we plan on coming in from our 12 hour drive on Thursday night and then we will go to the Plaza that Friday Morning and stay through Sunday Morning...We was going to be in MO for 11am Friday but we know we will be tired and want to go to sleep so thats why we are coming in Thursday...we want to be fully energized for Friday LOL and go stroll the city!! If we can't find any hotels that are less expensive we will just come in on Friday and have a case of Red Bull in tow

im looking for flights now to see how much they are, where do i put as destination? im putting from new york to what part Mo? All i see is to St. Louis Mo Is that close?

For those flying to the meet-up, you will need to fly into MCI (Kansas City International) and take a shuttle or taxi from the airport to the hotel (or rent a car if you’d prefer). I have spoken to SuperShuttle (www.supershuttle.com) regarding our meet-up, and they are looking into our options to see if we can put some sort of a group rate together for everyone flying in. Because we will all be arriving at different times, we may not be able to work this out, but I will let you know as I find out more. For now, plan on doing the shuttle on your own, and budget $18.00 each way for SuperShuttle’s shared van ride option (you would be in the van with up to 9 other people). I recommend making reservations in advance, but this is NOT something you need to worry about booking now. I use SuperShuttle all the time to/from LAX, and as long as you’ve made your reservation about 24-hours in advance, that’s plenty of time. SO…please don’t worry about this now and just keep an eye on this thread as I find out more about a possible group rate. For those preferring a taxi, I have no idea how much money to tell you to budget for.


- Once you get to the hotel, the hotel offers a free shuttle within 2 miles of the hotel. We will make sure the hotel shuttle driver knows where we’re meeting on Friday and my hotel contact has agreed to transport all our members and their dogs to the park on Friday so you don’t have to worry about getting there. They will also take you anywhere else you want/need to go within 2 miles of the hotel during your entire stay there!

ok im looking for flights but i only have a certain amount of money right now so does it make sense to pay my registration fee first? or book the flight first or the hotel? I only have like $200 right now cause of xmas money..

The registration fee goes up after Jan 1st. I am hoping to get mine before then. I think that the airfare will fluctuate between now and then......but you may want to check...... and remember some airlines do not accept dogs as carry ons. I guess it is whatever you find easiest.

Have you looked at motel 6 website? You can stay there really cheap & they allow pets. I don't know of a particular one, but you might want to check the area of town. Anything near Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun would be safe & I think near the baseball stadium or football stadium

Thanks a bunch....I will look into it. Now my husband is saying compare flight rates and so far I have found a cheaper flight at $250 per person but we have to drive 2 1/2 to 3 hrs to get the airport and Bailey's ticket will be $160....I think that is about the cheapest....

We will have an hour delay and we have to switch airlines I wonder will I have to pay for Bailey again to go aboard on the new airline???

k thanks i will check into that. Who is staying from Thursday? Is anyone staying from Thurs to Sunday? Or Friday to Sunday? Im wondering when i should go..

We was thinking of staying from Thurday to Sunday if we drive the 12 hours but if we fly we will just be there Friday to Sunday...still checking around for the cheapest flight

Count us in on the trip to the doggie boutique!!!! Perhaps I'll contact them also about being a vendor......

We will be driving (hopefully with several others), planning to leave here Thursday, drive most of the way, stay in a cheap hotel that evening and then drive in Friday morning to arrive around noon. We will plan on leaving Sunday, driving some - spending the night somewhere - and finishing the drive home on Monday. We're looking at 12 hours at least.
