| I am so sorry for the loss of your mother!!! YT has far more positive post than negative post!!! I try to focus on all the positive post but there is always going to be someone that can turn a great thread into something ugly. I'm off to find some "happy" threads!!!! Happy Thanksgiving all!!!!!!!!

| I'm so sorry you lost your Mom. I can say I know exactly how you feel. It will also be my first Thanksgiving without my dear Mom. Truly, if I could crawl into bed and sleep through these upcoming holidays, I would do it. Sending you hugs!

| Just thought I'd check in to see how your day went. I hope it wasn't too tough on you. I cherished my day with my elderly parents a little extra today because of those of you who reminded me to be thankful. God Bless!!

| This time of year can be very painful for those who have lost loved ones. I know that I certainly felt like hiding and forgetting the holidays all together, but a very wise person suggested to donate my time and perhaps it will help to work through my pain. I did... and it did. Don't get me wrong .. I still grieved and it was still painful, but for a time by helping others ... I truly forgot my own pain. The first year of holidays are the hardest and with each year you will feel stronger. Soon you will be able to enjoy the holidays and remember your mother with happiness and fond memories in a place where those painful ones are now. I am so sorry for your loss and your pain and I hope that you are able to find peace. God bess.... |

| I know how painful the holidays can be when you're dealing with such a devastating loss and I'm so sorry you are going through this pain. I hope you managed to enjoy your Thanksgiving. I'm sending you a big Thanksgiving hug.

| Thanks Just wanted to thank everyone for replying and making me feel not quite so alone. Me and mom were the only females in my family so we were very close and I think now I'm just feeling so alone without her support. Thanksgiving day went fine, I hate sending a plate to my dad and not eating dinner with him but he's mad at me for spending too much on my moms funeral (he's a Scrooge, wouldn't do it himself - made me and my son make arrangements, then got mad because I spent more than $800. Anyway, I guess I got too upset about a few people, and I KNOW the good people on this site outweigh the bad. I remember when yt was a war zone and people were getting suspended right and left, since I've been back I've only heard of 2 suspensions so it's getting better. I love you guys, right now you are my lifeline. I've had to quit working and I rarely get out of the house, I have a messed up shoulder and can't drive, but I can always come to yt. Love, Mary |

| Mary, I know your Thanksgiving was awful, so was mine. We did it at my mom's at last minute, was supposed to be here, and it was awful!!! I cried all day and evening and went to bed at 8:00. We got company and I couldn't even get out of bed to see them. Man...this is so hard!!! I'm glad I found you on this board. (as well of tons of other great people) But we are in the same place right now. 62 days today for my Dad!!! I'm never gonna make it through Christmas I have 3 kids, I just can imagine..... I hope you are hanging in...sry about your shoulder, too Lori
