Why? Here I sit broken hearted because tomorrow is my first Thanksgiving without my mom. So, I get on Yorkie Talk, because it usually makes me feel better. I visit posts I've been following, check out new ones, etc. I see way too many hurtful things being posted, too much of people with high post counts 'ganging' up on people with few post counts, of 'us' with one point and 'us' with another trying to compete, and that's fine but people are getting hurt and that's not what this site is about. I read people making comments off the top of their heads without fully understanding what they are commenting on, because of how they feel. Opinions are good, everyone should have them. Can't we try to have them without being nasty to others though? Can't we just be grateful that we have this site and each other and not worry so much about who's 'right'? It's Thanksgiving, and the beginning of the holidays, let's count our blessings and lift each other up during this time of the year and try not to say anything that might hurt someones feelings. If I've ever hurt someone by a post, I DEEPLY apologize, it was not my intention and I am going to try my best NOT to do it again. |
Amen! I'm so sorry for your loss, I pray that you have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving even though you won't have your mom there to share it with. |
Sorry for you loss. I lost my mom at 24. It is never easy.. even after 19 yrs. I guess I am a good at picking positive threads because I always walk away from YT with a smile on my face! Happy Thanksgiving |
Im so sorry about your mom. |
I'm so sorry for this tough Thanksgiving. I probably don't have a ton of 'em left with my folks, so your pain is very real to me. I think on any forum, the tides change and there will be cycles. Sometimes some of the posts don't capture the spirit of YT. Here's hoping that the cycle we're going into for the holidays is as warm as all the people here truly are. |
Im so sorry for your loss its never easy getting over the loss of a loved one ,Im sure your mom would want you to celebrate the holidays as if she were there i lost both my parents in the last five years so i know what you are going threw.sending prayers your way.have a Happy Thanksgiving. |
Hang in there girl and I'm sorry about your mom....I really can relate to how you're feeling but she'd want you to be happy. as far as the other stuff - I haven't been here in a few months but try to remember most of the people here have good hearts - sometimes they just get passionate about how they feel |
I'm sorry for your loss too. And I agree we should appreciate that we have this site and the people here to talk to and learn from. hope you have a blessed and happy thanksgiving!!! |
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. It can be really difficult during the holidays. I lost my father 34 years ago and every holiday it feels as if I've lost him all over again. I've lost my Father-in-law and Mother-in-law within the past two years. This will be the first without my MIL. So I know, as do many others how you're feeling. Please don't feel alone. |
Bless your heart. I'm so sorry for your loss.Big Jesus hug to you. |
I'm sorry for your loss, I know it gets hard during the holidays without loved ones close. Cherish the people that you do have now. As for the mean people, don't give them a second thought, it's not worth it! |
Honey, just look at the good ones and ignore the rest. There are so many of us that have wonderful, big, caring hearts. I am so sorry for your loss but remember there are lots of nice people here who are ready to talk with you at any time. You can PM me any time you want to. Patty |
Sorry about your Mom. I know how you feel my Mom passed away in March and I don't know how I will get thru tomorrow with out her. Most people on here are great. |
I am so sorry for your loss. I am experiencing the holidays for the first time without my grandmother & she was the one so many holidays were built around. She died in Feb. at 103 1/2 I am so sorry you see negativity here on YT, I know I saw one thread today get nasty, but all the others have been so happy. Panama has her Melody back & so many people sharing recipes and warm wishes for Thanksgiving and so many in prayer for those who have lost a furbaby or have a sick furbaby or a loved one. Please come back and read the joy. We need sensative people like yourself here. |
I am very sorry about your mom... she would want to look down on you with a smile! tomorrow is my dad's birthday, he would have been only 67, its been 7 years since we lost him. It never goes away but it does get easier to rely on the happy memories... Bless you! d |
