| She did post an Xbox and some other things in the Garage Sale section and the rules say you can be suspended if you list things and your not a donating member, maybe this was the reason for the suspension

| yah... I saw that thread as it went down. I can only guess that was maybe a big part of it. There were actually 2-3 threads that got kind of ugly. Noone but admin really knows though why the suspension happened.

| This whole thing is very sad. Does anyone have anyway of getting in touch with Dena??? Poor Natalie DOES need her Mommy to take care of her. I agree that the stress of being placed away from Dena would be very damaging to Natalie. I have tried to stay out of these threads, BUT I can clearly see that Dena cares for her little ones, that she is completely stressed out and sleep deprived. Dena, I really hope that you reconsider 'rehoming' - I really hope that was just said b/c of everything you have been put through here. Natalie needs you. And from what I have see about Grace - It seems that she has made a big impact on little Natalie's life in these few short days. I think they were meant for each other. PLEASE DON'T GIVE THEM AWAY. I think you need to get some rest and try to put all this 'drama' on YT out of your brain. Natalie needs to go to that Specialist appt. Please bring her and get her evaluated and see where to go from there. You will be in my prayers and thoughts. |

| I think I have seen people that post "good bye" threads get suspended. Maybe if you say you are leaving, admin makes it happen for ya. I hope Dena works all of this out and that Gracie and Natalie have everything they need...whichever way it goes.

| I feel bad for both Dena and Natalie and now Gracie but I am going to say something that might just upset some of you but really don't mean too. When I got Buddy I thought about the cost involved. That was a major thing for me because I would be his only care giver and it was very important to be sure I could take care of anything that came up in the way of health issues. I know to always expect the unexpected, so to speak and you really need to take this into consideration when you take on ownership of a pet of anykind. I would love to have another Yorkie for myself and a campanion for Buddy but I know that IF something should happen in the way of health (for two) I would find it hard to pay for the help that might be needed down the road so therefore Buddy is my only pet. I can handle one but not two and I am aware of that. I do hope that Natalie gets the help that is so desperately needed and Dena finds a way to fund it. To me it is so very important to know you can cover the cost of owning something before you own it and not take ownership lightly because you never know when something can go wrong and you have to dig deep to pay for your pet's care. I think this way but I guess not everyone does. Belive me I have helped as much as I could here on YT but when I see a Yorkie in need of health care and can't get it because the owner does not have the funds it just tears me up. That just how I think. |

| I agree with you. BEFORE you get any pet, you SHOULD think about the expenses involved with caring for them and the "what if's?"....but a lot of times, we somehow get into situations that just come up out of the blue, and act with our hearts instead of our heads. Of course, that isn't the RATIONAL or RESPONISIBLE thing to do, but sometimes things just happen that way. And we find a way to work with it. I'm like you; I'd love to have another Yorkie; a companion for Max; partly b/c I just believe that everything should have at least one other of it's own around to interact with and partly b/c they're such wonderful, joyous and joyful companions. But I KNOW that now is not the right time b/c we'd be spending money on a dog that we should be spending on other things and if anything came up health-wise, it would be a huge strain. BUT...I only know that b/c of having Max. When I got him, the things that might happen, were totally unbeknownst to me. The circumstances just happened, and I'd die trying to save him. I think it's like anything else, or like having a child; (which I've never had). But you never realize the scope of care and knowledge you SHOULD have before you get one, but once you have taken the responsibility on and fallen in love with them, and they with you, you'll do ANYTHING in your power to be the best guardian that you can possibly be. So, yeah, sometimes we do screw up, sometimes we use our hearts instead of our heads, and sometimes we need other people's compassion and even their help. But that's what life is all about; living our own best life, helping those who need it but are willing to help themselves, and protecting those that we love. I don't know why I feel like I need to defend Dena, and maybe she violated some of the rules here; I don't know anything about that, b/c I don't sell anything, but she wasn't asking for a handout. She was selling stuff (someone suggested a 'garage sale', as if she was making no sacrifice of her own....correct me if I"m wrong, but isn't selling stuff on the internet kind of a high-tech type of "garage sale"? and how did the person know that she WASN'T having a physical garage sale to sell at her home ). And for the people who questioned how she was able to spend so much money on those dog clothes she had for sale; I was under the impression that they weren't all HERS, they were donated or something? Anyhow, I think maybe the way it all went down irked some people, but I don't believe she's trying to scam anyone. And I think if someone irks you, just don't read their posts. Nobody forces you to read or respond to everything. There's people here who irk me too, whining about their poor pitiful lives day after day.....when there's people with no roof over their head and children dying of starvation (and their mothers have to witness it and be able to do nothing to save them ), and scores of dolphins being clubbed to death .....there's an "ignore" button here and you can hit it and never see another post from those people. Can't we just try to be a little bit better people than we NEED to be and have a litte compassion for someone who may not have made the wisest of choices in life, but geeze, Louise....who here has never made an unwise decision in their life? Be nice...nice is good (and you sleep a whole lot better at night). Quote:
