I Need Avatar Help! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Ok so i have an avatar made for me (thanks angie!) she emailed it to me.. (i have a mac.. not sure if that matters) i saved it as a .gif and tried to upload it as my avatar.. no luck.. SO i went on my pc and tried.. still no luck.. what am i missing?

Hmmm....that is really strange

I have absolutely NO experience with Mac's so I am no help here - surely that has got to be the issue though as normally they upload right away if saved as a .gif

Are you getting an error message of some kind? Or is that the avatar in the pic that she sent you and it just isn't moving/isn't animated?

ya the "mommy loves layla" is the first slide... and thats as far as i can get....

OK WAIT - I just saw the thread that she posted it in-in the other section of the board...this COULD be the issue...

When I opened it and checked to see what size it was, it is 150 x 150, however the max it can be for donating members is 125 x 125 - so this could be what's causing it to mess up for ya

Also I forgot to mention, the size of the avatar she made is 87.1 kb, and the max size that you are allowed to upload it 48.8 kb.

I don't know if this is what is causing the issues for you - it seems like with it being bigger in size, that you would get a message telling you that it exceeds the max kb size allowed - hmmm

Not trying to take any of this away from her because she did a GREAT job making it for you, but if you just want a quick fix - you can send me the pictures and I can put it together for ya real quick

Totally up to you though girl, if you want to wait for her to get back to you about it - that is TOTALLY understandable

If you want me to fix it though, just PM me

Oh thanks stedmansmommy! Since I'm not a donating member, I guessed as to the size limit. I thought it would be 150. Feel free to fix it if you'd like!

Your are quite welcome, but this one is 120 x 120 in size HEHEHEHE

It's ok though, it will still work for her (well it should) unless she is just having issues because she is using a Mac??? And if so then I am totally lost there LOL
