| Kinda Blue Today.... It's officially the 'holiday season' I guess. I have to go and get all new stuff this year since I lost all my Christmas decor in the fire. And since I lost mom in June (5 months today) I'm facing my first holiday season without her. I really don't feel like shopping for that stuff, it depresses me too much. Thank God I have my yorkie babies to make me smile! |

| I'm sorry to hear about your losses. Maybe you can replace some of your ornaments with a Yorkie theme since they make you happy. And cherish the good times you had with your Mom ((hugs)).

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am sorry to hear of your losses. My Mom passed away in March and I to am feeling so down thinking of my first Holiday Season without her. I have to have the Holidays at my house and I don't even feel like doing anything.

| I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom and the fire. I am sure your Mom would not want you to be depressed and feel down. It is very hard especally the first year without a loved one but you have to go on. How about starting with a smaller tree this year? Perhaps one on a table and go out looking for Yorkie ornaments, like the above poster mentioned and fill the tree with what makes you happy. Your Mom would want you to be happy. Hang in there, Hugs, |

| Of course it's hard to face the holidays when you are still in shock & grieving. You know, happiness and joy are still around you & it'll wait until you are able to see it. My dad died 25 yrs ago on Nov 6th and my mom died 2 yrs ago on Nov 1. I've had my daughter then and now my grandchildren to get me going on the holidays. Please don't give up. Just relax & enjoy as much as you are able. My prayers for your broken heart.

| I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I lost my mom on Dec 15th 3 years ago. It was really rough. We knew she wasn't going to make it to Christmas, so I put a small tree in her hospital room and we had an early celebration so mom could be there. But I gotta tell you, it was rough on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, except for this fact ..... When my grandfather died, my dad asked for snow to show that he had made it to heaven ok. Well, it snowed. So when mom died, dad asked for snow again and guess what!!!!???? It snowed in Houston Texas on Christmas Eve! They were even building snowmen on Galveston beach! And Christmas Eve was the day we always had our family get-together! I knew mom had made it and she was safely in heaven. So don't be afraid to ask for a sign that she's ok and still watching over you. You might be surprised and blessed! And it does get a little easier each year. Thoughts and prayers going your way....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I know what you mean. I take care of my 88 year old father who has some dementia and still lives in the apartment I moved him and my Mom to 2 years ago. He has pics of her all over and it is still hard for me to see them every day.
