Now is the time for your soul to be at peace and you can achieve that by just playing some nice Christmas music while making home made orniments and reflecting on all the good memories of your mom and on what you have. Make it an old fashion Christmas. Those are always good for the soul. You could also make up some little gifts and take them to the old folks home and give them out and chat awhile. There are just too many people who don't have anyone to share Christmas with for you to just sit home not helping them and yourself give thanks for what you have.
