I was scammed by Willow ~ BIG time!

That is the only two words I can think of to sum up what I've just read here. Anyone who would continue to bring puppies into the world under those conditions can't be described any other way. I am so glad to hear that Dee's baby did not end up in that kind of life! You just never know who you could really be dealing with and I commend the person who let her know! Good job.
As a breeder I am well aware of the work involved in raising babies and sometimes it's gets a little messy, but sanitation is a must when having animals in your home. I know there have been times in the past that I have had a friend over and had babies playing in their play pen and my friend would comment on how clean and happy they were, when all I'm thinking to myself is "not until I pull every thing out for the third time today and mop/disinfect again" and I'm sure those of you who read this and also raise animals are feeling me.
I just can't comprehend why someone would intentionally add to an already bad situation, and I am trying to say that in the nicest way I know how... I do not look down on anyone for what they have...I believe it is not what you have, but how you keep it.
If you can't afford to properly care for animals you should not have them. If you do not even have the decency as a human being to keep your home sanitary you should not have them. If you want to live in filth, that's fine...just don't force innocent children and animals to do it along with you!

I am sorry that you guys had to go through this, with the sick babies and also the money/dishonesty. I am not able to keep as up to date on the forum as I used to, I have a full plate with my family and we are a busy crew these days but this thread jumped out at me because I had read things in the past concerning this user and was aware of others initially trying to warn about this "situation/person". I also hope the family now has running water, and I hope they are able to improve on their situation and find some solutions. I also hope they will never bring another animal into this world under those conditions. I don't think they truly realize the long term damage to others (like LuvMyJake for example) that results from their "sorriness". I'm sorry to have to refer to someone in that way but that's exactly what it appears to be.

What can I say? Your girls who were involved with this person did the
best you could. Bless those of you who saved the pups that you did.
My heart goes out to those poor children and other dogs she still has.
I know desperate people do desperate things but there is no reason
for filth. If you can allow your children to live in this manner what chance
does a helpless pup have? To think a member here was actually no better than a BYB or puppymill is very scary. Thank heavens Sugarmom's pup was saved from a life of horror and sadness. It's very doubtfull you will see any money owed to you but know in your hearts you tried to help a desperate person who just has no interest in helping herself or children.

I'm disgusted at all of these situations posted on here by her! What a disgrace to humans that she could be such..I don't think I can post the word on here! I'm so sorry for those of of you who have gotten scammed. Remember, karma is a *****, and she will get what's coming to her. Sounds like she kinda already has whats coming to her with her living conditions.

I don't usually comment on threads like this, but this was a very necessary thread to put out. It was done well and in a very respectful manner. Thanks for putting out the word (while keeping your word) so that the rest of us would not be taken in as you were.

If it were me I would most definitely take her to small claims court. It's no longer about the money (though $600 is a lot) it's the principle. And a way for horrible people like Alycia to stop taking advantage of good people unlike her. Carma is a bit** and hopefully she gets it 10 fold. Janelle, I'm so sorry for you and everyone else who has been scammed by her. Please do not take this kind of betrayel and teach these kinds of awful people a lesson. TAKE HER TO SMALL CLAIMS. I would highly encourage it.

Do remember though, most inherited problems do not show up until 2 yrs or after.

I agree with you that people should speak up sooner, but it's not as easy as that sometimes. I did speak up to people about her in order to avoid another puppy going into her home. I tried to do it "behind the scenes", if you will, because I didn't want to stir up any trouble on YT. I did not know about the money Janell loaned her until AFTER I had already brought Lily home. I didn't feel that it was my place to say anything about that because I knew that Janell was giving her time to pay. You have to realize how very hard the whole situation was for me. I thought long and hard before I actually spoke up to people. I knew in my heart that I was doing the right thing, but it wasn't easy to do. The last thing I wanted to do was to publicly humiliate Willow. I knew that I had to try to stop anymore puppies from going into that home, but I wanted to go about it in a way that would save embarrassment to all involved. I also did not know many of the people involved so I wasn't sure how they would perceive me. At the time, things were very rough because I was trying to care for a very sick puppy, and I didn't want to put myself in a situation where I would have to defend myself if I had exposed her publicly. My one regret is that I didn't take pictures while I was there. I did take my camera and had intended to take pictures of Lily and the other puppies with Willow. But, once I saw the living conditions and how sick Lily truly was, my main concern was getting her home and taking care of her. After Lily passed, I had a very hard time. I had been caring for her 24/7, so I got attached to her very quickly. I had convinced myself that she would be okay, and she did seem to get so much better at first. I even blamed myself, thinking that maybe I didn't do enough. I felt like I had failed Lily. So, I was dealing with alot of different emotions at the time. I still have a hard time with it. But, I knew that once Janell posted about her, that I needed to also speak up. I don't want anyone to ever have to go through what my husband and I did. And, I don't want any other little innocent puppy to go into that home. Many, many people knew the truth. I even got a nasty PM from someone who was mad that I got Lily so young. Yes, I got her very young. I would never ever do that normally. I honestly felt it was in Lily's best interest to come home with me. It wasn't a decision I made easily. I wanted to help her in any way I could. I wanted her to get good vet care and to at least have a chance at life. And, I knew that even if she was not going to make it, that she would at least be able to experience being loved and cared for in the short time she was here. That is the one thing in all of this mess that I know for sure. Lily KNEW that she was very much loved.

So, I feel that although I did not speak up publicly, I did everything I could to make sure no other puppy went to Willow. I felt so relieved when I found that the sale was cancelled. I felt like I possibly saved one more little innocent life. I probably should have tried to do more, and I apologize for that.

Wow, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. And for everyone else who suffered because of this situation as well. It seems you really tried your hardest to do what was right, and I understand your reservations about going public with your knowledge. Thank you for trying to prevent others from having to go through the pain and heartache that she caused you and your husband. That was very courageous of you!

Look what BamaFan went through for speaking up about this very subject. It is not all that easy to come out and tell the world but you can pm people who you see falling into the same trap.

Thank you, I appreciate that. At first, that PM almost caused me to leave YT and I did change my user name. But, there are VERY many nice people on her who showed me so much kindness through everything that I knew I couldn't leave just because of one person who didn't even know what they were talking about. What they said about me in the PM didn't bother me, it's what they said about my little Lily that hurt. They even talked bad about my other yorkie, Jake. Normally, I would have just dismissed the whole thing as some idiot with nothing better to do. But, the PM came on the day Lily died and that was hard. I don't even give that PM a thought anymore, and the only reason I brought it up now is to show why people tend not to speak up publicly. It's not always as easy as it sounds. I do want to say, though, there are many more nice, thoughtful people here than mean ones. There are people here with really good hearts. I wish everyone could be like that.

I applaud you both for your outstanding courage in coming forward and speaking out about Willow's rather horrid ways. I personally think that it would be a good thing for those that have witnessed these deplorable living conditions to call social services on her. So many times we are reluctant to do it and get involved but then something bad happens to those children and we are full of remorse and know that maybe if we had spoken up they would have been safer. I hope someone reports her.

It was a great thing you giving Lily a great home and showing her the love that she deserved for the short time she was here on this earth. While you lost her way too soon find comfort in the fact that you made her days on this earth a better place. Both of your lives have been enriched for having each other and one day when your time comes she will be waiting to reunite with you.

Janelle you have a good heart as a lot of other YTers. It's very sad that Willow took advantage of your generous and selfless sacrifice. The good thing is that the money didn't make or break you. God will bless you ten fold for reaching out and helping someone that was supposedly in need.

I know that we have been beaten over the head recently by some shady folks but I pray that we all don't allow that to change what is in our hearts. I don't think it's a bad thing to maybe stop and contemplate the situation a second time before sharing/donating/giving or lending. What goes around comes around and while Willow might think she has gotten over and taken advantage of some good people...god sure doesn't like ugly. Her living conditions and financial situation are probably already a blast of Karma. I am very sorry that people were hurt by her and her children are suffering as a by product of her bad ways. But I honestly believe that god is good and he rewards those that do good and help others.

You ladies will receive way more fullfillment and rewards because of your big heart and your willingness to help another. I have to say from the bottom of my heart "God bless" you both for the good that you have done. It's sad that the wrong person received that blessing but things have a way of righting themselves in this world. It might not be today or tomorrow but it will happen.
