What a horrible video! Who would put such beautiful pups in a cage! Really shows true nature of attitude towards animals.

I don't think it's sad - crate training is a great method. If you do a search for crate training here on YorkieTalk you'll find a lot of information about its benefits. That said, some do disagree with it. I'm no expert, so I won't tell you what you should think, but look into it and you'll see that many loving dog owners have very happy pups who love their crates.

What a sweet batch of puppies!

I agree, I crate trained my dog. He loves his crate. We leave the door open all day and he goes in there when he's tired and takes a nap. We put him in there at night to sleep and he goes right in when we say bed time. It's his own little space. A place that is just his and a place where he feels safe and comfortable. Like you said not everyone agrees with it but it works for me.

Does that look like a dog crate to anyone? Looks like a cage to me. Crates are designed to aid the animal is such things as sleeping ...ask an expert crates should not be made of wire as this can harm you pet...seriously what is wrong with people?

Like I said, I'm no expert but I do know that there are both hard plastic and wire crates. You can see that the puppy owner has put padding on the bottom so it's nice and comfy inside. I got my Baxter a wire crate too so that he can be in there and still look around at what's going on - and if he wants privacy, I'll drape a blanket over it. Dogs love their crates because that's where they can go get away from it all when they need some down-time. I'm at my parents' house for the holidays right now and I'm sitting next to their Doberman who is curled up in his crate, door open, taking a much-needed nap. And he put himself in there.

Anyway, didn't mean to start a disagreement - I just wanted to throw in my $0.02 because I can tell that the sweet little puppies in the above videos are well cared-for. Again, I encourage you to do some searching about crate training on this site. You'll find people like me, who agree with the method, and others who think it's not the best.

Just as you think it is horrible, I think your comment was horrible! This is a crate, not a cage where I have seen animals neglected laying on a cold hard surface covered in urine and poo.

These puppies are very clean and they have a blanket and toys, they look very well taken care of. You shouldnt make a judgement that a person is cruel to their puppies when you know nothing!

Crates are used by many and they work. All of my dogs know " go get in your house." That is what it is THEIR HOUSE. They love their own place to go to. Half the time we are here and my husband and I will say, where is Baxter, where is Bayleigh & they are in their house laying down.

So, NO, using a crate does not mean you abuse animals.

UGH!!! So retarded!!!

Very sad comment, you apparently have never had puppies, I don't crate but I do keep mine up in there own room, if I had to I would, you can't just let puppies have the run of a house there are too many dangers for them to get into. Cute Video!

Oh,I'm so sorry for what's going on here. Anyway, thank you very much for all supports.

concretegurl : I could assure you that I don't mean to put my sweet puppies in any "cage". They are so naughty and I would like to housetrain them so I have to put them in the crate. I let them out every 2 hours to play with me in my room. And they also spend 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening in the outdoor playpen as you can see in this video. I think they have enough space to run.

Your puppies look so cute!!! And well cared for!

Just to lighten things up a bit.... I have two beautiful daughters 4 and 2 years. We pet sit and one of the dogs came with a crate like the one in the video well... the dog goes in sometimes but my daughters fight like crazy about who gets to go in LOL they love it have all their toys, blankets, books etc.. Just thinking of crates!! I bet if we added a few puppies they would never come out
