| I have the same issue and the trainer said if you can teach them to bark on command than you can also teach them not to bark..

| I'm sitting here on the telephone complaining to my girlfriend about how loud Baxter is. Anybody out there know how to turn the volume down on these little guys?

| Unfortunately, they are protecting their turf when the barking is related to comings and goings outside and outside noises. Does it make a difference if you close the blinds so he can't see outside? Closing ours is the only way to keep the girls quiet if they are in the living room - especially since Angel likes to stand on guard like Izzy!!!! When we are upstairs and Angel just likes to hear herself bark I use the clicker (which she hates) and that stops her in her tracks!!

| Okay, if that would have been a Queen Anne bench under the window instead of a sofa, I would have thought you snuck into our house to videotape. Their barks are simply ear-splitting aren't they!? We are working really hard on this. Lately, if Coby doesn't stop with my first "quiet" command, he gets a short time out in the kennel. Bratty little boy now just barks his head off, looks at me when I yell "quiet", and then runs to his kennel!! He's smart enough to know that's the routine but not smart enough to avoid it.

| Oh and it doesn't help that I have hardwood floors which makes his bark even louder.
