LOL, that boy does have some lungs on him! I turned the sound down low, and Eddie still went bananas when he heard the barking. Cute vid.

OH!!!!! That bark is not nearly as loud as my Tuffey's. He has the shrillest, loudest bark I have ever heard. My little princess Sophia rarely barks and her bark is like a princess should bark, lol. Tuffey just had his 1st birthday and I kept telling myself his voice would change as he got older, but.... I do find the clicker works - he hates it. If he sees me coming with it he becomes silent and looks at me with those huge loveable Yorkie eyes. The funny thing is when Tuffey barks, Sophia either gives him "the eye" or gets up to see what it is and turns to go back to what she was doing as if to tell him - GROW UP!!!!! lol They are soooo cute. We are so happy we have 2 Yorkies, the only thing better than 2 would be 3. Yorkie kisses from Sophia & Tuffey Hugs & ear plugs from Cookie

.............try multiplying your 1 by my 4 and then tell me about LOUD!!!! LOL

If mine start to bark at something outside I MAKE them get off the couch (either by telling them "OFF" or by picking them up and putting them on the floor) and away from the window while telling them sternly "QUIET" or "ENOUGH". I do not let them back up until they are quite and if they start up again, I repeat the process. It works somewhat for me....kind of difficult with four of them, but I'll bet if you were persistant, it would work great for you.

Times 4 is someone who must not have neighbors too close. How lucky to have 4 Yorkies. It only takes one to start the group barking. Sometimes they don't even know what they are barking about. I now laugh when ever I pick up the clicker LOL!!!! I think of all of you ! Cookie

Oh, Lordy! My girls heard that and it sounded like a freaken kennel in here!! My 5 can drown out a jet engine!!

Oh yes, I have neighbors on either side of me....also have neighbor dogs all around. So nobody complains.....yet. With dogs all around us, we're getting a privacy fence put up here, hopefully within a month or so. That will help when they are outside. They are never out alone and if they start barking too much, inside they go.
Oh, and the clicker?????? Yeah, who can hear it over the barking? LOL

...and I understand about the whole group starting and not even knowing what they are barking about too. Crazy animals

Your boy does have a nice set of lungs ! My Suzi totally over reacted when she heard that! LOL I thought it was funny when he jumped off the couch, and ran around in a circle, back on the couch again!

you know, i actually do that but im not consistent with it. i will definitely make sure i do more often. it has worked before.

i know, that is the funny part too. he's so dramatic! its worse when someone he knows comes over...its like he's soooo excited he doesnt know what to do! after people are in the house for about 10 minutes...he is a different dog!

LOL - yes Coby returns to his "look out post" to make sure that everything is back to normal. If whatever set him off is still out there, he barks and we start the entire routine again. Silliness and smarts make the funniest yorkie!!
