I love the dress ... do you have a pattern or you made your own? I would like to give it a try but can not seem tofind a pattern for a dress like that . Love the fabric she is too precious.

Yes, Its velco, The top was a little to big thats why its longer around her neck, it looks like its hanging off. I have to figure out something to do with it.

I don't think I can sell them..lol. Its too hard to figure out sizes for our babies!!!

Actually Connie, she responded earlier sent me her pattern and instructions. And I blew her pattern up and had a lady at work help me since I have only been sewing for about 3 weeks now!!

Connie is really nice, you can PM her and ask!!

Isn't it fun?? Well at first its not. Its frustrating.. But now its getting to be fun!!!

I bought a ton of fabric to practice on, so some of the dresses arn't great, but theres a few that I am going to keep!!!

Are you getting a little girl anytime soon?

I wish! I am getting really antsy for a baby girl but it isn't in my budget right now. I'm hoping that shortly after Christmas I can start looking. Until then I just admire all your little girls in the cutie bows and stuff!

Trust me you can. I went from not knowing how to thread a machine, to doing that. and I am still working on it, but you can do it if you put your mind to it!!

What kind (make and model number) is your machine? I will see if I can look it up to show you where the tension dial is. The 5 you are referring to is the length of the stitch. The tension dial loosens the stitch. When you sew, the bottom side of the fabric will show the bobbin thread and the top side is the needle thread. The needle thread is what you want to loosen (only for gathering). It will make the threads looser so when you pull to gather, it ius much easier. When you pull the thread, you only pull the bottom thread, not both threads at once. The tension adjustement is usually on the left hand end of the machine or on the left front. If you can send me the make and model I will look it up for you.

In the meantime, I have some photos with the tension dial circled

Its a Singer.. then it says electronic something.. I can find the "name" of it. But I do have the book.

Both she and her dress are adorable!! I can't believe you made that!!! How nice to be able to make something in the material and pattern you want

. That pumpkin dress is absolutely perfect!

Thnx i might try it! It's so ridiculous that i can't sew cause my mom and grandma are like pros at it, my mom used to make her barbies clothes by sewing and i don't even know hot to turn a machine on. My gma has one so i might have to go visit her and ask her to help me. I need to buy material though, where do you get it at and what kind of material do you get?

I know thats the best part. You make it and you can pick out your own fabric
