Hey thanks you guys for all the sweet things you said about my little Dolce. Ok, so the last time she was at the vet which was about 2 1/2 weeks ago she weighed in at a whopping (lol) 2lbs. 7 oz. I have to bring her back in about a week, so we will see how much she has gained. The last time she gained 11 oz. in 3 weeks. Like I said in another post, I think she has the stomach size of a St. Bernard!! I just got a little sweater for her off of ebay, its a XXS, and would you believe that the neck and body fit perfect but her tiny, scrawny "chicken legs" fall out of it everytime she walks...lol I will have to take a pic of that and show all of you guys. She's so tiny, it scares me when people are walking in my house...we have a full house most of the time so that means there are on the norm, like 14 possible feet that can step on her....it makes me crazy....Im so afraid that someone will make her a pancake, but I think I have taught them all how to do the "yorkie shuffle" I will post more soon, and I would love to see more pics of all your babies as well....it makes my day that much better!!!

Oh also, I wanted to ask all the "experts" on here....Im paranoid... Do you all think that her hair looks ok? Ive seen so many pics on here of allt he babies and they have so much hair!! I'm beginning to think I will never be able to put a topknot in her hair...I tried and my boyfriend said she looked like "Alfalfa"...lol Did all of your babies have alot of hair at 16 weeks?? Thank again everyone...

Dolce's Mom your puppy is absolutely scrumptious! I can't believe how tiny the little Sweetie is. Remembering Louis back at 16 weeks (he's 6 months now) makes me want to pick him up and squish him back to 3.7 lbs. He's probably 5 now and we are definitely hoping he'll grow a little more so he can hold his own with the other 15 lb dogs in the house. The hair will grow thicker, she looks so silky and adorable in the bowl. Wish I could put her in my pocket and take her everywhere with Louis and me. Hee hee.

CreateJoy...lol...I just had to smile when you said Dolce was scrumptious!!! That is so cute!! I am so glad to hear that you think her coat will get thicker. I sure hope your right. She is very tiny...I wish she gained a little more weight though because I am afraid she might be TOO tiny. If I go by all the formulas given here on the site, I am figuring she will be about 5 lbs. or a little less when she is full grown. We'll see, but I will keep posting pics so you can all see her progress. Thank you so much for the compliments on Dolce...I know she appreciates them as does her mommy!!!

Not to worry . My Lexie actualy went through a time when she looked as if she were bald on top of her head She's now 2 months old today and she's got a head full of hair! I'm even willing to bet that if she would stay still long enough I could get a bow in her head.

Yorkiesrule...shes only 2 months and got a full head of hair already?!?!?! Dolce is almost 4 months and it still looks like she has 3 wisps of hair on the top of her head. lol I wish her little hair would get to growing, I love how they look when all their hair is grown in. I hope its just a stage like your little one....we will see. At least I am glad to hear that there have been other babies in Dolce's boat too!!

| Dolce's hair will grow!! At that age Toto looked like a really tiny porcupine! But, by golly, she was MY porcupine and I would've loved her no matter what. Deep down I was really wanting her to have gorgeous hair and could hardly wait for it to grow! So I began brushing the little scraggly thing just like she had a long flowing coat!! That's the reason I think she loves brushing now ... and it did grow ... not without flaws. She has really nice hair but it is thin on top of her head [could I be brushing it too much? ] ... I really don't know how thick it is supposed to be! Just be patient, mom, it will grow and I know it will be beautiful! What they have as babies is nothing like the coat that they eventually grow. Please keep posting lots of pics so we can all see her mature ... that's the neatest thing ... all the different stages that they "grow" through!!

Thank you bettyeanne...I was really beginning to think that no other Yorkie was a "little porcupine" lol...I had to laugh at that because that is exactly what she looks like from the side...hairs sticking out in all directions!! I love her no matter what...but you know how us "moms" are...especially with our "little girls"...we wanna be able to put little bows in their hair. (sigh) I guess I have to be patient and see if it grows into a nice thick coat...but even if it doesnt she will always be beautiful to me!!! I will definitely post some more pics....maybe I can get her to be still for a few minutes tonight. Will post tonight if I can everyone!!!
