| When I saw this thread I was afraid to look! I am glad she didn't FLUFF up like a ball of cotton candy Maggie is a beautiful little girl. Wait a day or two because I have to say it does look alittle different. I bathed Buddy last Fri night and by 3-4 days later his coat usually looks alittle dry. With Minksheen he still is very shiny and so very soft. His coat is straight and just coming in long but I believe him to have a silky coat. I really think as the day goes on you might still see a difference. If not nothing lost! This product and Cranberry Fields are my favorites for Buddy. |

Also, she likes to lay by the window in the sun and she feels a little warm. She is 5 months old. Can you determine coat texture this early even though she still has her puppy coat? Thanks in advance.

Lights reflecting off her coat from what I can see, her feet don't look like fuzzy bedroom slippers...... Five months is a good age to start seeing some changes, you can see the definition from the puppy coat and the adult coat at the hair line....you begin to see the coat shinier..... From what I can tell from the pics, your pup definately looks like silk. If you have a pin brush and lift the coat with the brush, when you drop the coat down does it drop right back into place?

| Linda - Maggie looks beautiful. The only thing I see from the 3rd photo is it looks like she has some split ends (like human hair). If she's never been trimmed, you might want to try a good pair of hair sheers and just trim her ends. Other than that her coat looks great!!!! Both my girls continue to get softer and silkier for two days after their grooming with MinkSheen!!!

| I posted some pictures of up close shots for you. thanks for everyone input. I do really appreciate it. and yes Jodi, when I said fuzzy i mean it looks like broken hair or split ends to me also. I did like the smell of the minksheen to all who havent tried it and she really is so soft but her hair is always soft.

Maybe you could try giving her a trim and see if that helps. If she has a true silk coat it could be the split ends that are giving her the fly away appearance after using MinkSheen.

| I was thinking about getting her a trim but I dont trust them to not cut her way short. I probably could do it, as I have always cut my own hair and most everyone else's that wanted me too. and my hubbys hair too, but even i'm scared I'll get hers too short and my hubby would have a fit. He dont want her cut at all, i've mentioned it to him before. But I might just get my scissors out one day when he is at work and surprise him. It will grow back out. I kinda do believe her hair is still got baby hair in it plus some of it might be split ends too.

Baby hair does make a lot of difference, as soon as Jewelina grew out of her puppy coat the difference was striking. It went from fuzzy poofy hair to sleek silk that lays perfectly flat.
