NO, it's not too late to change her name. We got Kallie when she was two and she had always been called Rosey since 12 weeks old. We changed it to Kallie and she learned it in a couple of days. Hubby would get at one end of the house and I at the other. We'd take turns calling and clapping our hands and when she would get to us each time, she would be rewarded with a treat! Works great when teaching them a new name. Oh and Rosey and Kallie sound nothing alike!!! LOL

Meiah was the same age when I got her from a breeder. Her actual name was Pebbles and I changed it to Meiah and she learned it FAST !!!! Although we have done tests on her and she'll look when you call her Pebbles too

if you have a regular AKC certificate where she has already been registered and Shady lady is on it, you cannot change her official name. AKC will not do that. if it is only a puppy registration like I gave you, then you can name her anything you want. i thought you were only talking about the call name. i think the other poster misunderstood you. i can't wait until you get her.

Yes, I should have mentioned that as well, that the breeder I purchased Meiah from, had not registered her with the AKC yet, so I was all set to name her anything I wanted with AKC. Has she already been registered with AKC?

Yes, just her call name...she is already registered AKC...
