thanks guys. i definitly will post new pics. but im having trouble with him pooping and peeing on the rugs. i would like him to go on the pads. i even dabbed some of his pee on the pad so he knows were to go pee. and i leave him in my room while im at school. and he peed on the pad. but as soon as i let him out of my room. he peed on the rug. and he never poops on the pad. always in the same spot on the other side of my bed. and if i put a pad over there. he jus poops next to it. i try to be stern when he pees or poops on the rugs. and he just goes and hides in his bed. he knows hes done something wrong but he always does it. i dont know what i should do. is it because hes still young? or should i try something else?

Speaking as someone not as experienced as all these other nice people, it's just a matter of time....it will get better but it does take time and patience. Never scold with harsh tone. Just keep saying NO when you catch him in the act and put him on the pads. It has to be when he's in the act. He won't remember afterwards. Good luck. It will work out. Lexi's 5 months old now and we let her out of the kitchen about 75% of the time now and put her in when we see the signs but there are still accidents. They all wipe up.

Hi, when he makes an accient do you remove the oder with the pet oder remover. He could still be smelling it and going back to the same area. In addtion, when you leave him in the room all day is he in a create and are your floors in your room bare. I'm wondering if maybe he thinks the carpet is grass when you let him out so he thinks it is ok to go there. Like the person posted above it take a lot of time. Sometimes they get it right away and other puppies need more time.

I usually dab up the wet spot on the carpet really well with paper towel. Than I make a solution of 1 cup or water & 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. I wet a sponge or old rag in it, squeeze the access water out and then clean the spot. I read in several places that the vinegar neutralizes the smell and they don't smell it as 'their spot' anymore. Has worked well so far. I should have added that the accidents seem to happen primarily when we have company, just a couple of people. She's so excited that she forgets. Your baby is still very young and it will take a while. Yesterday Lexi left a poop trail around the dining room table just after the guests left. I guess she was waiting for 'private' time to do her duty and forgot the correct spot because she was so happy. They are soooo wonderful. We say she just celebrates everyone's arrival. But she is much better today at 5 months than she was even just last month at 4 months. Hang in there. They are so worth it. They give so much pleasure, laughter and unconditional love. Keep asking questions here. I find it's very comforting to know you are not alone. These people have experience as well as wonderful stories.

Welcome! Squirt is very cute I love the dark stripe in the middle of his head. I don't know about the hair thing, and mine is still having accidents, so I don't have any advice (in fact I could use some ). I just wanted to welcome you I have a little girl named Gabby that will be 4 months old on the 30th of this month, so they are kind of close in age. I can't wait to see new pics.
