I think they would make great buddies. Especially if they grow up together as pups. All the Boxers that I have know are a little high strung yet VERY lovable and sweet. I don't think I have ever met one that wasn't. Our Shepherd was a little over a year when we brought Diesel home. At first he wasn't to sure of Diesel and I was really worried about them. After about 2 weeks Shep finally warmed up to Diesel and they became good buds. We had to be very careful with them since Diesel was so little. Needless to say Shep stepped on his little feet every now and then. I can even remember Diesel running like crazy, not watching where he was going , and running smack-dab into Shep's leg. He would just scream like crazy. Both times Shep would duck his head and run like crazy. LOL After he realized everything was ok he would come back around. I think that big and little dogs can be good friends. I say go for it! Good Luck.

| In response to Panama's question about getting a Boxer, I have a 2 year old bloodhound, Gracylou, that weighs in at 86 pounds. Duffy was 1.5 pounds when I got him 5 months ago and has just hit the 4 pound mark (yea!). They absolutly love eachother. Gracylou is a very "high energy" dog and yet plays beautifully with Duffy. I was really scared to let them play together at first. Gracy has learned to be careful when playing with Duffy and Duffy has learned where all the places are that Gracy can't fit in and goes there when Gracy gets too rambunctus, like behind and under chairs, etc., (Duffy also steals Gracy's stuff and takes it there ). Good luck!
