In response to Panama's question about getting a Boxer, I have a 2 year old bloodhound, Gracylou, that weighs in at 86 pounds. Duffy was 1.5 pounds when I got him 5 months ago and has just hit the 4 pound mark (yea!). They absolutly love eachother. Gracylou is a very "high energy" dog and yet plays beautifully with Duffy. I was really scared to let them play together at first. Gracy has learned to be careful when playing with Duffy and Duffy has learned where all the places are that Gracy can't fit in and goes there when Gracy gets too rambunctus, like behind and under chairs, etc., (Duffy also steals Gracy's stuff and takes it there
