| Some Yorkies's ears just don't stand up. I have two with ears that are up and one with floppy ears... sometimes it's cause they're not shaved consistantly when they're pups, other times, like with mine, nothing helped at all - she's just floppy! omega |

| BLess you for giving Teddy a loving home. Some Yorkies just have floppy ears. Perhaps they were not taped to go up when he was a pup of the hair not shaved on them. The weight of the hair can make them go down and then some are just like that. The floppy years are adorable I think. There are lots of beauties on this site with floppy ears. It just adds to their personality. Good luck with Teddy and welcome to YT. Carol & Buddy |

| The ears on a Yorkie should stand erect. If they don't then it really is a fault in breeding. (weak cartilage) One thing that could have been done when he was 3 months old was to shave the entire ear inside and out (the hair weights the ears) and tape them. |

| Teddy is such a handsome fellow. He is very lucky to have found someone who will give him a loving happy home where he will be spoiled like he deserves. |

| I'm glad you've given him a loving home. There are so many out there in need. I have two yorkies. One came to me as a pup (and yes, I taped her ears) and the other I adopted from a rescue at 13 mos. old. Both of them have ears that are down. I think they're beautiful anyway!

| I happen to like the floppy ears (even if they are a "fault"). When I got my Ferdinand, one of his ears was half-way floppy (you can kind of see that in my avatar). I thought it was adorable, but it stood up on its own. Some just never stand up. It doesn't matter - they're adorable just the same.
