| New to YT Hello everyone, I really enjoy reading all of the posts on this site. Everyone has such good information to share. Well I will introduce you to my pet family. I have a siberian husky named Dakota that I have had for 12 years. Then my parents gave me a baby yorkie 2 years ago and we named her Gizmo because she reminded us of the gremlins. My husband never did like small dogs until she won his heart within just 5 minutes ( as you can see in the first picture). Then we wanted another yorkie so we found her a husband and his name is Rudy. They adore each other and it is so much fun to watch them play. I really like watching them just sit and kiss each other. Dakota still doesn't like it when Rudy stands up and tries to kiss her. She grumbles and turns her head. But I have caught her playing with him at times. When I let them in from outside, it is like a three ring circus. All of them run laps thru the house barking and chasing after Dakota. Then they finish up by doing a few laps around the dining room table before they all settle in again. Gizmo and Rudy became the proud parents of 4 little girls on September 17th. So here are a few pics for you to see everyone. Enjoy!! |

| Thanks everyone. You are right, very seldom is there a dull moment. I have been busy making things for the adopting parents of our baby girls. So far I have made a doggie bed and a carrier bag for each of them. Before they go to their new homes, I am going to take the receiving blankets that they have been sleeping on and attach a section of it to a small toy (kind of like the little blankies that you can get for newborns). This way they will have the smell of the parents and siblings on them to help them make it thru the transition period of adoption. I keep one of the beds that I made for them in their pen for all of them to use and switch it out so that each one has been used by them and this should help too, I hope. And of course I have a few toys for each of them too. I plan on making a book for each of them with all of the important information and papers, each pups personal records, photos and a DVD of still pics and movies that I have taken of them. This should make a pretty nice gift package since they will be ready for their new homes just before Christmas.
