Thanks everyone. You are right, very seldom is there a dull moment. I have been busy making things for the adopting parents of our baby girls. So far I have made a doggie bed and a carrier bag for each of them. Before they go to their new homes, I am going to take the receiving blankets that they have been sleeping on and attach a section of it to a small toy (kind of like the little blankies that you can get for newborns). This way they will have the smell of the parents and siblings on them to help them make it thru the transition period of adoption. I keep one of the beds that I made for them in their pen for all of them to use and switch it out so that each one has been used by them and this should help too, I hope. And of course I have a few toys for each of them too. I plan on making a book for each of them with all of the important information and papers, each pups personal records, photos and a DVD of still pics and movies that I have taken of them. This should make a pretty nice gift package since they will be ready for their new homes just before Christmas.
