| Yorkies are the best! Yorkies are like little people. Very, very intelligent--to the point of being a little freaky. They are amazing little creatures that will love you to pieces whether or not you feel like being loved. Mine greet me with so much love and excitement everytime I walk in the door-it doesn't matter if I was gone 1 minute or the whole day. They never tire if hugs and kisses. They are faithful, trusting, loving, ornery beings that once you have one in your possession you will not be able to get enough of. They should be loved without reserve. Rules and guidelines, most definitelty! Are they perfect? No, but pretty doggone close!

| Ivy Lucille (Jamie) - what a picture! Wow!!! I have had numerous doggies in my life (rescues, strays, paid ones, all breeds, all sizes). I have always wanted a Yorkie and finally got one. I didn't know what to expect either, but then I found YT and everyone on here was always a big help. I have NO regrets whatsoever with Mojo! NOTHING, Nope! I was cautioned and told about horror stories of Yorkies....from friends, people on the street, you name it.....everything from their excessive barking, being stubborn, hard of training, being terrors and distructive.....WELL, I have never seen any problems in those areas (or any) w/ Mojo. Every Yorkie (or any dog) is different....based alot (I think) on their home and how they were raised. BUT, it wouldn't hurt to have some classes lined up or training, just for that extra support and peace of mind. Even if there are problems, once you look into those big dark eyes and that cute little face, you will forgot about the trouble you are having! Good luck, relax and enjoy your baby when you get him!!!

| The first time I saw a yorkie I knew I wanted one. I got my first one specifically to love on and spoil! It was so wonderful that I got my second one 3 months later! I have a 10 mo old female and a 10 week old male and I don't regret it at all!

| Hi! Welcome to YorkieTalk! What part of Alabama are you from? I'm in Huntsville!!!! I have no regrets whatsoever about having yorkies. I am 23 now and my family got their first yorkie when I was 15. My grandparents ended up falling in love with my family's yorkie and got one of their own. Then my aunt got one, then my sister got one, and now my husband and I have 2 of our own. We truly LOVE this breed. Sometimes they can be hard to train, but it really has a lot to do with the owner and how much consistency the owner places on training the yorkie. My little boy was potty trained in less than a month of us having him because we were very consistent about it. You will ESPECIALLY LOVE having a little boy yorkie. If you get him fixed early, around 4 or 5 months, he will become the best and most loving creature you've ever met...at least that is how my little boy is and I've met several others who have said the same thing. Of course if you encounter any problems, we will all be here to answer any questions to may have and we will also be here to share in your job. And of course we expect you to post TONS of pics of your new addition!!!!!! Where are you getting him from? |

| I'll tell ya, I was really nervous too. I am (or was ) more of a cat person. I was not used to having to train something to go potty (except my kids), and also having to stay on top of them constantly. I really felt I had another toddler in the house! I am a real neat freak, probably border line OCD and the thought of peeing and pooping on my floors Before I got Harley I read a whole bunch about what to do and not to do.... I was a nervous wreck! When I brought him home he was 8 weeks and we started right then on the training. We got a routine down. He had to learn what he could and couldnt do and I am real consistant! I don't let the little cute face fool me! I am a stay at home mom so I am with him constantly and I truly think that makes a big difference in the training thing. He is going on 17 weeks and I cant remember the last time he had an accident. Just today I bought some bells and yarn, from reading on here about people using those for the pups to signal when they need to go out. I hung them on the door earlier and he has rang them 3 times so far to go out and potty.... You talk about a smart! I can't get over how smart these guys are. I told my husband when he got home to watch how he would ring the bell and Harley went to the door, rang the bells and went out and peed. 10 minutes later he went back and rang them again, my husband said "i think he just likes playing with them".... well he went out and pooped! I was soo proud! No regrets for sure! Don't feel alone about feeling nervous. Its a big step and alot of work and commitment but I'm sure you will be happy!
