| Brand New Litter Hi Everyone! Exciting news, my darling girl had six (6) yep, said 6 wonderful babies on Sunday, April 24, 2005. She had 1 little boy and 5 girls. All are doing well at this time. I have taken the week off to keep an eye on them, have them checked out by their wonderful Vet and the tiny tails and dew claws done by the Vet. The little boy is the smallest. He was also the first born. There was a number 7 puppy, (4th born) that was too immature to survive. It broke our hearts, but we all know these things happen now and then and we can never be totally prepared for natures hand in things. They were born at home and Mom has her own special room with all the possible equipment and attention any Princess Yorkie would ever require. This is a very large litter for a small Yorkie, stunning really, but we are prepared for all possible situations related to this that we can think of. If anyone has great suggestions on how we can continue to help Mommy and ensure her and the puppies health, do not hesitate to post. I will appreciate it even if I have already learned of it or thought of it. You just never know what idea or proven suggestion will be of benefit. So you know, Mom is a 6.5 pound Yorkie, the Daddy is a 5.5 pound Yorkie. Both are beautiful and showed great promise as parents. The are both almost 3 years old, had extensive testing for sutibility and are AKC (oh, I know, that does not promise great Yorkies, but this breeder (me) has the standard and health of the dogs as number one priority)! I am so happy! Jennie |

| Thank you Thank you for your congrats! I am a worry wort, always have been over my fur babies! I try and not bug Joye to death by poking my nose in the whelping area all the time. I weigh the babies twice a day to be sure of weight gain. I feed Joye three times a day and take her temp. twice a day. The weights range from 3 oz to 5 oz at this time. All have fat bellies. Mom looks great, teats look fine, the whelping area is 84 degrees. Mom pants at this temp but has a cooler area to escape to if needed. I have even fed her by hand, as she lay nursing because she is so diligent she will not leave them except to run out and potty and run back in! I also own the sire and have one other teenage female. They are kept away and seem fine with what is going on behind the nursery door. My little Willow (5 months) is full of delightful Yorkie spirit and makes Mom nerves. I keep Willow out of harms way, as I think Joye would give her a good nip if she got too close. Giz already knows not to get too close, just by instint I think. Please send all ideas and what is best to feed her in the way of calcium naturaly. Cottage cheese, yogart, goats milk? Thanks to everyone in advance! Jennie |

| Welcome!!!! I just love new babies, can't wait to see them. I just got my pair, the male is a little over 5 months and my female is 4 1/2 months. Of course it will be at least a year before we breed them, but I cannot wait until we can announce our new babies. |

| Jennie, congratulations and welcome to YT! There have been many posts and questions relating to breeding. If you can't find what you're looking for with a search just post a question. There is a breeder's forum as well. There are many wonderful breeders on here who are very patient to answer questions. I'm not a breeder and have no plans to be but I certainly appreciate those who do. Wow, a litter of 6!! What a blessing!
