| So sorry about Finn. I can't imagine how hard it was for your family but especially you and your daughter. He was a cutie! Huck is just precious! We have a lot in common (same age stay at home mom). I started with 1 yorkie (an 8 lb "teapot" girl). My 11 yr. old daughter shares my love of yorkies and she got her very own little boy last Christmas. The are so devoted to each other it is amazing. Last month I got my 3rd little guy- they are so addictive! Anyway, I also recommend a teapot yorkie if you want a bigger dog because as we all know- Welcome to YT! |

| Aaaaaaaaawwww....I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bum anyone out! I just couldn't introduce myself without including Finn, especially since it did just happen this past April, so Finn is still very much in our thoughts. Thank you for all your kind comments about Finn (and Huck) and for all the warm welcomes. The term "teapot yorkie" really made me smile. I hadn't really considered a larger yorkie, because I figured a yorkie is a yorkie - they're lap dogs. Do your larger yorkies have a tremendously different tempermant than the smaller yorkies. Do they have that bigger dog personality - do you know what I mean? My boys haven't really had a dog of their own to bond with or think or as their own, because Huck (Finn also) is really more like the family baby then the family dog. His favorite passtime isn't chasing a ball or romping around the house with the kids - he's happiest cuddled up in a nice warm lap. He's a "mommy's dog" (which is, of course, what I so love about yorkies, but for some reason has left my 3 and 4 year old boys wanting a little more - go figure! ). So, I would just be afraid even a larger yorkie would still have that "lap dog" tempermant. |

| I can't believe what you had to go through. I am so sorry. It saddened me to read how something so horrible could happen to such a beautiful dog. He really was a pretty dog. I loved his picture. Huck is also a cutie. I am glad that you had him to help ease the pain. I hope all goes well for you and your family and WELCOME to YT!!!!!!!!!! |

I have Gracie, 8 lbs, Spike (daughter's dog) 5 lbs and Sugar 3 lbs. Speaking only for my own teapot, the personalities are very different. Gracie is not a lap dog at all which is how I ended up with Sugar. I really wanted a sweet little lap dog. Gracie is a sweetie, don't get me wrong but her goal in life is to play and she has no patience for being held and cuddled. It used to drive me crazy. Now I have Sugar and Gracie gets all the playtime she wants and I have a little lovebug so we're all happy. | |

| My big Hercules (maybe a little over 10lbs I haven't weighed him lately) is SO LOVABLE! He loves to lay with his head in our laps, he doesn't mind playing with my 10 yr. old and he can't seem to be cuddled enough. Toys are his weakness, he LOVES them. He can't seem to get close enough to you when he is being petted. I hope you are enjoying it here at YT!
