We just got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation, and Eddie was a real trooper. Not only did he fly in a carry-on for two six-hour flights, but he was exposed to 114-degree heat in Vegas, boarded for a week, taken on two 10-hour car rides and then turned loose at a family gathering with 100 people and a bunch of Yorkie-swarming kids. To add insult to injury, we returned home for one day, then took him and Jack camping for two days in Alaska. He's one well-traveled pup, that's for sure. I was quite proud of him.

Here are a few pics of Eddie on the road.

1. Eddie gives my great niece a kiss. He was VERY good playing gently with her.
2. Eddie meets his "cousin," a 6-month-old Bakersfield chihuahua.
3. Another great niece tests Eddie's patience. He passed.
4. This was Eddie's second time in a pool. He didn't love it, but didn't sink. (Ignore the fat, old, white guy. He's just Eddie's trainer.)

Wow what a trip and what a good boy he is ! Where was Jack ?

Those pictures are great as always - and that swimming picture is so cool - He lives right that's for sure ...and YOU were missed ! Nice to see you back - I bet you were ready to come home after all that travel !!

Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation filled with family, friends, and lots of love and laughs.

And it looks like Eddie's trainer got a BIG TIME sunburn!

Thanks, you guys. And LOL on the sunburn. The "trainer" was smart enough to avoid the Vegas sun but thought he could handle the 80-degree California sun. I'm still pink.

Villette, you're right about being exhausted after all that travel. Between the heat and the go, go, go, I wish I had another week to recover.

I didn't "abandon" Jack. We had purchased the airline tickets before we got Jack, and I didn't want to try to add him to the package because it would have been too much of a hassle. He stayed with our house-sitter and hardly missed us.

Besides, I think the Vegas heat would have killed him.

Very cool, great pictures and welcome home! What a trip, aye? Just hearing about all poor Eddie has experienced is making me ready for bed! What a trooper! I bed he's glad to be reunited with Jack, too. It's good to have you back...you were missed! Can't wait to hear more about Eddie and your adventures and travels!

LOL! Well, if it means anything to you, your skills didn't diminish while I was away!

And Val, I'm regretfully not the photojournalist you are on vacations. I don't think I took a single picture that showed Eddie in Vegas. Bad dad.

Suz bunch would have greeted Eddie with open arms, paws and even shared their food, I'll bet!
