| My Biggie! Thanks tons for the download; it works great. Here are a couple of photos of Biggie; the soda can and bed photo's are when he first arrived. The one on the couch is more recent; maybe 2 weeks ago. He sure has changed in the short two months I've had him!!! |

| Hey, did you guys have any input on the amount of times it is OK to bathe the puppies? What about the flaky skin I mentioned? I think this question got mixed into the middle of another one!! T' |

| Once a month for babies up to eight months old and twice a month for adult Yorkies is about what you should bathe them. Too much and they will lose the natural oils they develop to protect them. |

| I looked at a website yesterday that recommended bathing once per week (http://www.ytca.org/grooming.html) due to their single coat of hair (unlike most dogs). Do you think this seems like too much? What about conditioners for the skin? Do you use them? Do you think they affect the amount of bathing that is acceptable? |

| Yoda gets bathed about once every two weeks, but he is full grown. I got the once a month for babies from a few Yorkie books I have laying around. When Yoda was younger, we bathed him approximately every three weeks or so, unless he got really dirty playing outside. We usually do use some doggy shampoo and conditioner. I don't recall reading anything where conditioners m ay affect the amount of bathing. |

Coat Handler is a GREAT SHAMPOO. CoatHandler I forget the story behind it's creation, but I believe the lady shows Yorkies, and it's made esp. for Yorkie hair/skin. Otis has been using that since he was a puppy. You can also buy it from different dog catalogs. We also found some herbal doggie shampoo from Origins that seems to work.

| rule of thumb... If your dog stinks...bath him/her...thats my rule of thumb...no timetable will suffice...."follow your nose" lol...use good shampoo and conditioner...i use baby shampoo, i know it dries skin a little , but i dont want to burn my babies eyes...a good brushing always helps... |

And if they're not all that dirty, and you don't feel like giving them a full bath, all you need to do is "spot clean," meaning just wipe down the face and paws area.

Your Yorkie is so cute! I remembered when I got mine a couple years ago. He was so small only 7 ounces. He's about 6 1/2 lbs now. I love him to death. They are so much like people. He has the best personality. I'll post some pictures soon. Oh yeah they do change a lot! Mine was balck and tan, now he's blonde, grey, light brown, and a little black. He is so cute!
