Our New Morkie, Mr. Mac! Hi YorkieTalk! Mr. Mac and I are new and I wanted to introduce him. Mac is now 10 1/2 weeks old and has the biggest personality of any pooch I've owned. He is a Morkie, and he is growing and changing by the day it seems. Hope to post more pictures soon. They are attachments. Mac says "see you later!"

Thank you both! The baseball picture is the most recent taken just a few days ago! His ears are getting perkier and perkier. Not sure what they are going to do next! I was also feeling like he was a little balled on top lol, but after careful inspection it appears it's turning silver at the roots slightly. We just love him! Our neighbors Yorkie is also very excited!

Thanks everyone! Lilah, I've thought the EXACT same thing. Even though I haven't had the pleasure of being a yorkie owner, I really see almost no trace of his Maltese-ness (lol). He looks pretty much identical to the yorkie puppy pictures I've researched, other than his ears being dropped, but they appear to be raising more and more. I even had a former yorkie breeder comment on how she just couldn't believe he was a morkie. I have no problems with this at all! I had initially wanted a yorkie and couldn't be happier with my Morkie... in Yorkie clothing! :-) I had initially wanted a yorkie pup, but fell in love with him when I saw him at 2 weeks old.

I was ALARMED AT FIRST! lol I was like maybe it's like babies who lose their hair and it grows back. I didn't expect him to start changing so quickly, but it's very neat. The hair is so dark, and changes so subtly right at the root. However, my fiance still isn't convinced that he sometimes looks slightly balled lol. | |

Oh questions for you all. If this is okay to post here, but WHEN should he get his first grooming? I'm not wanting to do just for primping purposes, but just to get him use to it. Plus, his nails are like small knives right now lol. Also, I have got to believe there is some special shampoo for these little babies. My pretty basic stuff does nothing for his fur and he starts to look almost a little greasy sometimes?
