Wow they are having so much fun!! I want a red coat and boots and get to play in the snow too!!!!!!! Not fair- it was 76 here yesterday. Where is our winter??????????????? I love your pictures- they are the best.

I LOVE that idea, Alison! I've joked about that before, but figured I couldn't afford the 1,000 Yorkies it would take to pull a sled. But with YT, it's possible!

I am not so intimidated by the idea of 1000 Yorkies as I am by the idea of 4000 booties! By the time we got them all outfitted the snow would be gone! Really, though, I wonder how many Yorkies it would take to pull a sled with a person on it???

Hmm, interesting question. Average Iditarod dog weighs 45 to 55 pounds. Yorkies are 7. So you'd need 7 Yorkies for every Alaskan husky.
Probably is, you'd run into problems with rules. Iditarod allows only 16 dogs at the start. So if you tried to hitch up 16 x 7, you'd end up with 112 Yorkies and be disqualified.

At the same time, it takes as few as 3 dogs to pull a sled a short distance. So that's only 21 Yorkies.

Lots of options!
