I am in Oregon, Salem to be exact. I didn't know there was a Yorkie Rescue in Oregon.

I have 4 furbabies and 2 of them are Yorkies and they were both rescues, 1 from a friends friend who could keep her. I said I would take her not knowing what she was until I picked her up. My 2nd Yorkie I got after I fostered her for the rescue group I work for.

Rescues are awesome and so if fostering.

Well, I'm technically out of Washington, but we drove to Oregon to pick her up.

I know, I love her name too. At first I thought it was too similar to my name (Michelle), but when I found out that it has always been her name... I knew I couldn't change it. I figure if her new family decides, they can change it. She deserves a little bit of consistency for now... She has been completely torn away from what she knows and is a nervous little girl right now. I'm hoping she will calm down once she gets used to our routine.

She just kind of hangs out and doesn't get in the way, so they are completely fine with her. She doesn't bark and I haven't heard a peep out of her since we picked her up. So far, she's been the perfect first foster... I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that she stays this way

Give her time she will come around eventualy it does take some time. Molly still hides from DH and barks at him all the time, she is afraid of men so it makes me believe that it was a man who had her cause she will not warm up to any man. Shelly will be fine now that she is with you
