We picked up our first foster for Yorkie Haven Rescue today at a shelter in Oregon. She is around 7-8 years old and is an owner surrender (her owner was an elderly woman who passed away and her son surrendered her to the shelter). Her name has always been Shelly, so we are going to keep it. She is a sweet older girl and has warmed our hearts already. I just wanted to share her with everyone :) We feel lucky to get to foster such a sweet girl!

1. The picture that caught my attention on the shelter website... So sad.
2. First potty break just outside of the shelter.
3. Same
4. At home after a bath (she was soooo dirty!)

Congrats to your family and Shelly.

I am in Oregon, Salem to be exact. I didn't know there was a Yorkie Rescue in Oregon.

I have 4 furbabies and 2 of them are Yorkies and they were both rescues, 1 from a friends friend who could keep her. I said I would take her not knowing what she was until I picked her up. My 2nd Yorkie I got after I fostered her for the rescue group I work for.

Rescues are awesome and so if fostering.

Thank you so much for taking in that baby girl.....she is probably wondering what has hapopened to her other momma! That is a wonderful thing you are doing....God bless you for your kindness for this little lady!

=*(()) there was a 12 yo yorkie in a shelter in manchester nh but she is pending adoption which made me happy.....Im on the lookout for my first foster though! have a great day.

What a pretty little girl :) She reminds me of Bogey when he first came home~a little diamond in the ruff (*pun intended :p).

What a sweet fur baby the before and after pictures say it all she is a lucky little pup and I am sure she will bring alot of happiness. :animal-pa:animal-pa
