| I got Cricket's brother Bubba today!! I've had cricket for 3 weeks today. I found out that her brother, Bubba, was still available. Cricket is 2.5 lbs and he is a whopping 4 lbs. They will be 12 weeks on Sunday. I can't believe I did it. My husband said we would get another one day, but I can't believe it's today. He is BEAUTIFUL. Cricket looks like the "ideal" yorkie. She's small with a tiny nose and beautiful hair. He has the beautiful hair, but he's got a little bit longer nose and great big beautiful eyes! I'll try to get some pictures. He is Mr. Kissy Face!! Oh how I love them Any advice for 2 puppies? |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I am have two little ones who are very close in age...Magic 5 months and Sailor 3 months...now they are both female so that be different from what you experience...but we found that they loved each other from the start...with Sailor being younger we had her in a playpen for a long time until we were sure they were safe together...now they love to play and chase each other...having two is so much better than one...it means twice the fun and excitement...it makes training easier as well...because they learn from each other...esp. potty training...Sailor takes after her sister...when Magic pees on the pee pad so does Sailor....same thing with outside...and they hate it when one gets a treat and not the other so they make sure to do things together...they are not yet sleeping together, they each have their own space but during the day they are always together....you will defintely enjoy having two....

| Here's their progress Quote:
Since Cricket has been the only baby for 3 weeks, she's been fighting Bubba. He doesn't much fight back. He's so much bigger, and so calm. Cricket wants to be the Queen. I smack a newspaper when they get into it. It's more when my husband and daughter are home. Last night went great! They slept in the one kennel all night together. They ate fine together. They play outside good (Cricket is still too rough), and have played inside better since I'm the only one here. QUESTION: Will Cricket calm down? It's not too bad, but I feel sorry for Bubba. Here's a picture of Bubba! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...l/Bubba300.jpg | |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Yes I think that she will calm done...or at least she will get used to him being around...our Magic has finally come to realize that she is not the only one...but we make sure to give them both their own special time with us so neither becomes jealous....Budda will come along as he gets used to being around everyone...soon they will be best friends!!! Keep us in informed on how they are doing....

| Ok, I'm getting really jealous too!! I would LOVE to have another Yorkie, but there is no way my husband would agree to it cause we already have a Schnauzer. What is it about Yorkies, you don't want to stop at just one?? Congrats!! |

| You know I really wanted a second yorkie and I may get another one at a later time but the last 2 weeks I have been doggy sitting another Yorkie Rocco and I think that I am glad that I just have the one right now. Rocco was a very good boy and he and Cecilia love playing so it wasn't any problems that maybe changed my mind. I just notice differrences in the way Cecilia acts. I feel like her and I are buddies and I know that she loves to hang out with me. We spend alot of time just the 2 of us. I don't want her to become a dogs dog if you know what I mean. I want her to have a friend to be with during the day, but then when he leaves she is just completely worn out and wants to sleep instead of hanging out with me. I guess I just want her attention instead of her giving it to him. I'm sure that I sound pretty pathetic, but it's just the 2 of us, we are a little family.

| Two yorkies, just like chips, you can't have just one. I had my first Yorkie, Whitby by himself for the ten years I had him, he was four and a rescue. I now have two boys that are three weeks apart in age. Wow is it fun. Two times the joy. They love each other, fight like real brothers, play, love to chase each other thrugh the entire house, play tag and "get the cat" together and are such a joy. I think that two are easier, they keep each other occupied while I am at work, don;t detroy as much as when I had just the one. But yorkies are just like chips, now I want one more. Hope to be looking to get a tiny female before the end of the summer, if I had more space, I would spend all my money on yorkies, I would be like those old lady hoarders on animal cops with 70 yorkies except mine would be well fed, good vet care and clean. Love those yorkies!! |
