| is the scale broke i was wondering if makya looks too big? the scale at the vet said 6.7lbs i rounded to 7 lbs but she just looks so much bigger then that. maybe its the hair but she looks to be more then 7lbs my friend that has yorkies also told me she is too big for breeding. but i was told by other bredder she was a good size for breeding now the peopple coming to look at the puppies will differ. i dont mind but im trying to make sure she is worth breeding at least one litter. i would like to keep one of her babies and my neices will get one for free she may only have one puppy. wich of coarse would be great cause i really only wanted one for myself but if she has alot of coarse they will have to be sold. i dont mind keeping them all really but alot of uneducated people want the parents to be teacup size wich bothers me. i was told that the bigger your female( staying in breed standard )the less complications you might have. is this true or is she just too big? the first three pics are makya and the last pic is sampson wich is 4.5 lbs. |

| She's really pretty! I think her size is fine. As long as your male is smaller than her though. That way her puppies don't grow to big for her belly! Is she registered? Good luck! Puppies are fun & you'll want to keep all of them! |

| yes shes registered and i have a 4 generation pedigree on her. no champions that i can see,but all of the males have a dna with the akc.so far so good shes 11 months old and not pregnant. i do want to wait a while to breed her and my male wich is pictured above last pic is rounded up to 4.5lbs. if she has her first litter after we move to our new house then we will keep them all except for the one my neices have been longing for.lol then we will have a full house if it ever gets done being built. the house we live in right now is way to small for puppies, kids and 3 adult dogs. |

| Has she gone into heat yet? I've heard its best to wait till at least the 2nd heat which is around 1 1/2 years. But of course all dogs are different & it could come at any time. How long did you plan on waiting to breed her? Well I guess if you planned on keeping them for yourself than registrations wouldn't matter! Good luck! |

| well i havent even noticed the first heat wich means the heat she will go into soon i will count as her first one and skip it. so she should be about a year and a half by the time shes ready. well if she produces perfect puppies and she does well with delivery then i might keep breeding her. to far in the future i have to wait to see when i feel shes mature enough to breed before i worry about breeding a second time. if i sell puppies im not looking to make money just quality pups at a affordable price with papers.makya is too young to figure all of that stuff out |

| I think she's a good size to Breed. There are a few things I would do first. Find a Breder and ask lots of questions. Read as much as you can about breeding, and search the net. For sure the male has to be smaller. And you need to get his generation pedigree as well. Here's one really good site. http://www.debbiejensen.com/whelping.html It really isn't as easy as one thinks. I too was going to Breed Princess but I'm still not ready. Princess will be three in March. Our Vet, who is also a Yorkie Breeder said it's best to wait for them to turn two. Good Luck to you!

| Your babies are both adorable. I don't think that 7lbs is too heavy to breed.
