| Noel - My Yorkie/Rat Terrier Mix Hello!! I adopted Noel from the local Humane Society in October when she was 3 months old... She is part Yorkshire Terrier and part Rat Terrier. She had three brothers, one who looked like her, and two who were white with brownish spots. When she was a pup her coat had a ton of black in it, but now that she's getting older the black is fading. Her fur is very coarse on her back but super soft on her tummy, chest, paws, and face/head. She is 7 months old right now and a terrible chewer! I have a question... What foods do you recommend for your Yorkie? |

| SOOOO CUTE, very lucky to have found you even though I'm sure you think is the other way around. Both my girls eat Wellness and Merrick puppy kibblets. They prefer the taste of Merrick (u mix warm water and u get gravy). And to YT!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I love hearing about people who saved a puppy !! Good for you....I don't really have food recommendations but wanted to say I hope you both have a great life together ! as far as the chewing - she'll grow out of it - you can find stuff to keep her busy - mine used to love 'old smokey' Bully sticks - (I think that's the name) I only let them have them when I'm right here & didn't let them have softer sticks that they can bite off because they can choke - When they get too close to the end - I take it away but they can last a long long time if the right kind..... Another good product is Nylabone - some dogs don't take to them but mine did - they're very safe. But don't give her Greenies - they've been known to cause choking but dogs really love the taste so it's hard not to let them chew on one. I used to let my Tessa (Cocker Spaniel) have them but my girls (yorkie) always stole them .......I stopped buying them when I heard they were dangerous....(this was years ago when they first came out) |

| She is such a cutie!!!! How wonderful you've rescued her. As for food, a few I'd recommend are Orijen, Innova/EVO, Natures Variety. You can check out http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ for dog food reviews. Last edited by AMD; 02-07-2010 at 04:33 PM. |
