| Thanks again everyone.................................I will try to post some pics of him on the beach one of these days (eventhough he HATES to go in the water)! LINDA44, the heat does not bother him all the time. Normally when it is not a hot day, he will stay outside for a long time (usually chasing lizards or digging for something). When it is really hot in the summer however, he does not like to stay outside too long. On days like this he will go out to relieve his self then come rite back inside (but if he sees a lizard, he is offfff). Also, at night, Diallo will usually sleep in the bed with us. On warm nights if the ac is not on, he will however sleep under the bed or on the tile outside the room. But other than these, he does very well here. The temperature here and in central-South Florida is the same. So the same way yorkies make it there; they do the same here. |

Thank-you for sharing his pics with us... I should send my Baron to you, he LOVES to swim in our pool. This years we're taking him and the other 3 dogs to the beach. | Hey Mon! Welcome to YT. I love the Bahamas! I've been there about 5 times and always enjoyed myself. I would have asked the same Q about the heat. Geez, I had Sophie outside this weekend in 75 degree temps. and she was panting her little tongue off. I'm worried as here in Pa. we get well into the 90's in the summer and our heat index can go over 100. Guess she'll be inside in the air conditioning. |

| Hi everyone! This past week end, Diallo gave my wife and I a scare! He was secluding his self from us, moving gingerly, he cried weh we touched him, he was walking with an arch in his back, he went to bark a few times and it came out like he was crying.................lets put it like this WE WERE VERY SCARED FOR HIM! In fact, I did not sleep at all that night worrying about Diallo. Any way, took him to the vet at first lite and she said he pulled some muscles. She gave him some medication and now my boy is back to his self. I am truly amazed at how worried I was for him! On Sunday, we met a lady that has a BEAUTIFUL female yorkie. For the almost 7 years we have had Diallo, this is the 2nd time we have met some one with a Yorkie that is worth breeding to our boy. She is blue and gold with silk hair. Where as Diallo is Black and tan and is a cotton. The owner wants to bred her female with Diallo so its a date! None of the pups will be sold and will be kept between the grand parents! I took some pics of Diallo tonight so I decided to share. I can't believe our boy will be 7 next month. Here is Mr. Diallo.......... |

| I would be very careful about breeding your little guy with a back problem, it could do enough damage to paralyze him. Did the vet do an x-ray or an MRI ? at his age I would recommend it before breeding. |

Is there any thing I should be concerned about as he gets upther in age. I might add though, I don't think that 7 is old at all for a dog. I say that because I lost one of my pit bulls a few years ago and she was 13. Anyway, thank you for the advice. | |
