| Dunkin is a cutie but help! Unfortunately, we didn't survive the first night as well as I hope. I tried putting Dunkin in his crate, he began to moan, whine, and bark for about 1.5 hours. I wasn't able to stand it so I let him out and he proceeded to lay on top of my Coach bag and slept. However, throughout the night, he kept coughing which worries me quite a bit and not to mention kept me up. I know it's expected and I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow but any suggestions on how I can help him get over this cough? Also, he keeps trying to jump up onto my bed but I've decided not to let him sleep in my bed until he's fully housebroken and potty trained. On the upside, he's a VERY intelligent dog. He learning to listen to commands and is slowly responding to his new name. Here are some pictures we took on the road (while waiting almost 2 hours to the traffic to clear) and some at my home. Any advice to help both of us to settle in more smoothly would be greatly appreciated! Pam |

| Dunkin is adorable! Congrats & I hope the both of you get a better night sleep tonight... Common puppy problems usually occur within the first two weeks after date of bringing him into his new home. Most often, these problems are related to stress. Stress can occur when taking your puppy to a new environment and / or when your puppy leaves his / her friends. Your puppy, in many ways, is like a child during his / her first week at a new school. Your puppy may look fine while in the familiar surroundings of Just Puppies, but soon after bringing him / her home, various stress-related symptoms may arise. Give your puppy some cough syrup (alcohol-free) to ease the tenderness in throat. Contact the vet as soon as possible and the bredder. She might be best with any suggestions before you give him anything! It might be a bit of stress!

| Dunkin's New Threads Bought Dunkin a new sweater at PetSmart today. I also bought him Puppy Kong, Puppy Kong Stuffin, Puppy Kong Puppy Snacks, and Kong Wubba hoping that it will help him in crate training. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to like any of it all too much. He licked the outside and then gave on getting the stuff inside. LoL. Here are some new pictures: |
