Default Dunkin is a cutie but help!

Unfortunately, we didn't survive the first night as well as I hope. I tried putting Dunkin in his crate, he began to moan, whine, and bark for about 1.5 hours. I wasn't able to stand it so I let him out and he proceeded to lay on top of my Coach bag and slept. However, throughout the night, he kept coughing which worries me quite a bit and not to mention kept me up. I know it's expected and I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow but any suggestions on how I can help him get over this cough?

Also, he keeps trying to jump up onto my bed but I've decided not to let him sleep in my bed until he's fully housebroken and potty trained. On the upside, he's a VERY intelligent dog. He learning to listen to commands and is slowly responding to his new name.

Here are some pictures we took on the road (while waiting almost 2 hours to the traffic to clear) and some at my home. Any advice to help both of us to settle in more smoothly would be greatly appreciated!
