| Welcome to YT!! Schmoo is a doll!! YT is filled with lots of warm, knowledgeable, fun people - after you get over your shyness I hope you stick around. How is she shy? She looks pretty young, I would say that's a big part of it. My Roxy is somewhat shy or she just takes her time warming up to people.

| What a cutie pie and I also love her name. She will probably not be as shy when she is a little older. Just try to socialize her gradually but never with strange dogs or those grabby type people.

| hi, thanks everyone... she is shy with people, not dogs...she will come to us if we are laying down on her level, otherwise shys away pretty quickly. She is adorable, and young, 5 months. We felt the name Schmoo suited her, on her papers she is "Lady Smooze Alot"...our cute girl...thanks for the warm welcomes and support! Nadine |

| Hi, My yorkie boy, Kimchee, is 2 now and he is still sometimes shy in front of people. I feel that he is more comfortable with our friends coming to our house rather than outside home. I think you can start with introducing your baby to your friends at your place. Ask your friends to help you, whenever your baby approaches your friends, ask your friends to give your baby a treat, so your baby will think people are nice. You can also encourage your baby by praising whenever your baby approaches your friends. It takes time...... Kimchee is still learning...... he would approach people for 1 second and then run away, as if he is checking out if the person has treats or not - no treat, sorry goodbye! It makes me so embrassed! |

| Aww, she is sooooooooo adorable!! What a cutie!! As for her shyness, just keep socializing her but take it slow. She will eventually come out of her shyness but she needs to really trust you completely before she will.
