My yorkie boy, Kimchee, is 2 now and he is still sometimes shy in front of people. I feel that he is more comfortable with our friends coming to our house rather than outside home. I think you can start with introducing your baby to your friends at your place. Ask your friends to help you, whenever your baby approaches your friends, ask your friends to give your baby a treat, so your baby will think people are nice. You can also encourage your baby by praising whenever your baby approaches your friends.
It takes time...... Kimchee is still learning...... he would approach people for 1 second and then run away, as if he is checking out if the person has treats or not - no treat, sorry goodbye! It makes me so embrassed! |
