My Baby Is NOT A CHIHUAHUA!!! <<sheesh>> - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Ugh.... I had Natalie out today in PetSmart and TWO different people came up and told me what a lovely little long-haired Chihuahua she was!!!!
PLEASE tell me my baby does NOT resemble a CHIHUAHUA????!!!!
Poor lil' thing.... yeah, she's a bit "rodent-looking" from time to time... but that's only because her hair is SO thin and she has a wee bit of an overbite!! lol.... (when she's wet from the bath, she DOES look JUST like a Chihuahua!!) But I don't think she does the rest of the time.... DOES SHE???
When I told them she was a Yorkie, one of the women actually had the audacity to ARGUE with me about it!!! "oh noooo, she can't be a Yorkie... what is she mixed with?? blah, blah, blah...." - - - -
I guess I never thought about it before.... she's registered (which doesn't mean anything these days, I know) and has always just looked to me, like my little Yorkie angel girl.... never questioned it.... what do you guys think???

She's a beautiful yorkie baby to me. Don't feel bad little Nat, Cody and Gracie look like those dogs(too tired to even attempt to spell it) when they get baths too. Poor Bella just looks like the flying nun with her ears

But our babies are all beautiful

LOL She looks like a yorkie to me! And long haired chihuahuas don't have enough hair on top of their hair for a topknot

.some people just try to be difficult because they are not happy people themselves.she is adorable!and that person needs to look at some pics of chihuahua's and yorkie's again

She looks all Yorkie to me. They were probably reacting to the fact that she is such a very tiny girl, closer in size to what they think a Chi is. Oh, well, you and Natalie know what she is!

People ask me "what kind of dog" Archie is all the time and he virtually has a sign around his neck that screams "Yorkie!" Sometimes I want to say, "Baby Rotweiler!"

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
