| How are you doing now? Tammy, Are you doing better now? I can only imagine the horror of what you went through. Please, seek a grief counsler if things do not improve for you soon. I hope and pray you are doing okay as what you went through is very traumatic. I think I can speak for the majority of us here in this forum when I say that noone would think ill of you for what happened. I feel your pain and understand that this grieving process takes time. I send many hugs and prayers your way... |

| Tammy, I am so sorry to hear of this accident. I agree with everyone here and support you 100%, it was an accident and they do happen even to the best of us. Just know that he probably went very quickly and probably painlessly so that is a great consolation in my eyes. I am so sorry that you had to go through this but it happens. My husband accidentally ran over our beloved and his favorite 6yr old cat. It was just terrible, she was never very bright and had hearing loss in one ear due to a tumor removal in her ear and she was just hanging out right under the tire and he backed up to move the car and she was there. It was a terrible sound that I heard through the window..and we had to act fast because she had broken her back and was in shock. We called the vet and they said if she broke her back there was not much they could do, we had to make a decision and fast since we didn't want her to suffer. She was going into shock and panting real hard..My husband was crying in hysterics pacing..and I was like we can't let her suffer. We had to take care of it, which was one of the hardest things to do. We live 5 acres so we didn't want to deprive her of being outside..it was an accident and we cried and cried and I still dream about her and she still visits me in them..I hope she comes back to me one day. I hope you know that accidents happen to the best of us, loving, caring, animal lovers all the same. I hope you feel better. We are thinking of you!

| What everyone has said is true. I had the same thing happen to me years ago. I was getting ready on a Saturday morning to go take my SAT's and I stepped down from our kitchen to our utility room and a kitten that we had at the time was under my feet before I knew it and I stepped on her around her neck and it killed her instantly. Needless to say I was a wreck for the SAT's I don't remember how I got through them or even what my scores were. I hope you feel better soon. Please know in your heart that this was just a terrible accident.
