Eddie, 5/5/04 to 6/20/18

It is so hard for our little ones when they lose their companions. Years ago we had a sweet calico cat. She lived in the finished basement playroom, and was a beloved pet of the children, but my husband is allergic to cats so she could not come upstairs. Our dogs would only see her when the kids sneaked them downstairs, but when she passed, they would cry and go to the basement door to scratch it for days.

I know how hard it is to grieve for Eddie, and still be mindful of Jillie's needs, but you are doing a wonderful job of helping her through this sad time. It has always been obvious in your many videos what a thoughtful and caring man you are with your little ones, and we all see the joy you have shared with them. So many people here, and on YouTube, have enjoyed your wonderful virtual experiences...may you take comfort in knowing that you have tons of well wishers out there sending hugs and prayers!

My Cali loves nosework! She thinks it is the best game ever!
We ratchet it up to a search and rescue course, an side from the constant burrs in her coat she loves that also. Two nights ago she found a horse that had been freightened out of her coral by kids throwing firecrackers at her. Took Cali about an hour of constant back tracking but she found the terribly scare little pony in a ditch four farms away.

We are still picking “stick-tights” out of her coat. I think I will see about one of the silky grooming jackets some dog where when the are on wraps to see if that will help.

Earlier this year she took a camera cable for the fire department into a collapsed basement where the neighbor thought a women and baby lived. We attached it to a harness and she slipped into that little hole that the big dogs could not get into. No people in there but she brought out a pacifier

I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear about Eddie's passing. He was our YorkieTalk sweetheart for sure. Again, deep sympathy Mike.

There is a huge void in all your lives, including Jillie's...so it's understood that getting back to a somewhat normal routine can be difficult. But you must to it, for Eddie, for Jillie, for you and Kelly...for all of us that love and miss him. Jillie now has another guardian angel, Eddie without a doubt has earned his wings. I love you Eddie and will remember you always.

I am so sorry to hear this Mike... Eddie had a wonderful and adventurous life with you... It’s so difficult to say good-bye to these precious little family members...

Thanks, again, for the condolences. We're dogsitting for a young little dog for two weeks, and I think that's actually helped Jillie. She normally doesn't cotton to dogs coming into her domain, but she's surprisingly welcoming.

Mike, I am gutted to return to YT after another long absence to learn that Eddie has left us.
I am so very sorry. I wish they could go on forever and have less health issues. Such precious little beings who give us their all. My Jenna and I send our deepest sympathies and hugs your way for you and Kelly and Jillie.


We are no longer in Alaska but down south in Oregon now, we miss the north terribly.... I will never forget seeing the videos of Eddie pulling tissues for you in the hospital children's ward, doing his hydro therapy or walking like a rookie in his snow booties. He made a huge impression on my daughter also, who asks after your little furbabies often. She will be crushed at this news.

Sweet Eddie . Mike, I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss of sweet Eddie. Losing these beloved and precious little beings leave holes in our heart that can never be filled by anything/anyone else, bc that was *their* space in your heart. Their absence is so excruciating painful at times, and my heart goes out to you and your wife.

Eddie had such a beautiful life - he was SO loved and stinky spoiled; no kiddo could've led a better life. I've been here since 2005 like you - so I've been seeing your kiddos' antics, videos etc for 13 years now! Your babies have always been such palpable little characters on YT. Thank you for sharing their lives with us.

I want to apologize for posting my condolences so late - I've tried to type them up many, many times - only to hit the 'X' button bc I couldn't do it. I've had to shield myself from the RIP section due to some recent events, just couldn't do it. But I've been sending you good thoughts all along .
