| Oh, Amanda, this is so tragic! I am so sorry to hear that your little Macey is no longer by your side. I am sure that you are so unhappy and confused, and probably pretty angry right now. I cannot give you any advice on how to move forward with any action towards the vet. Most vets have people sign a release saying that you understand there are dangers involved in surgery, and that releases them from liability. As far as getting another furbaby is concerned, I highly recommend it. In August one of my babies died in an unfortunate accident, and her best fur friend was heart broken and passed away 6 weeks later. We got our Wosie immediately, and she is indeed the best medicine for my heartache. Wosie is now 5 months old, and the light of my life. But give yourself time to grieve first, and wait until after the holidays so that you can give your new puppy a calmer environment for their welcome into your home. Welcome to YT, Amanda. I wish that you had found us under happier circumstances, but am very glad you are here.

| I will be short and sweet here as right now nothing will take away the pain of your sudden unexpected loss. I am so sorry that this has happened.....I know no other dog will take the place of Macey, but I do think that getting another dog is a good idea....

| I'm so sorry that you lost your little one, I know what a terrible gap it leaves in your life. Please know that you were only looking after her in having her spayed and it was in no way your fault, I don't really know how you can find out if there was any malpractice involved. Some people don't believe in havng dogs spayed unless absolutely necessary and they have the right to their opinion but for myself I will never have another female and not have her spayed. I recently (in Aug.) lost a little girl to cancer and from all my research I think she would have had a better chance if she had been spayed. Again I'm so sorry for your loss and you and your Mom will be in our thoughts. Kathy, Tango and Gypsy p.s. I also think it is a good idea to get another dog as soon as you feel ready. Gypsy (I've had her for 6 wks. now) has definitely helped to fill the empty spaces in my heart. |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh Amanda I am so so sorry for your loss....We are entrusted to love and cherish our yorkies.... and while sometimes these things happen.... I want to tell you that the pain will always be there no matter what you find out... and I am very sorry for the loss of your little Macy - she sound very special. There are millions of these surgeries performed without complications and it's so so sad that you had to experience the loss of your little angel when you were doing something to protect her... I'm very very sorry....and when your heart is ready.... I WOULD see if there is another little puppy for you to love - it can really help you thru your pain of losing your Macy. It doesn't mean you're replacing her - you would be paying her a tribute ....it shows how much you loved her. |

| Welcome to YT, we are always hee for you. I am so sorry that you suffered such a thing. You should know that even if you do get another pup it wont replace your baby, it will just help fill the whole that was left behind.
