I'm so sorry that you lost your little one, I know what a terrible gap it leaves in your life. Please know that you were only looking after her in having her spayed and it was in no way your fault, I don't really know how you can find out if there was any malpractice involved. Some people don't believe in havng dogs spayed unless absolutely necessary and they have the right to their opinion but for myself I will never have another female and not have her spayed. I recently (in Aug.) lost a little girl to cancer and from all my research I think she would have had a better chance if she had been spayed.
Again I'm so sorry for your loss and you and your Mom will be in our thoughts.

p.s. I also think it is a good idea to get another dog as soon as you feel ready. Gypsy (I've had her for 6 wks. now) has definitely helped to fill the empty spaces in my heart. |
