| Benson Thank you for your kind responses. It is strange. I keep feeling him around the house tonight and think sometimes he's still here. He will be missed. My husband's talking about replacing him already and I just don't think I'm ready. Its only been two days. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I do understand your pain. Your husband talking about another dog is probably his way of trying not to hurt or fix it so you wont hurt. Time is what it takes and at some point you may be ready. But for now focus on the wonderful times that you had with your baby. Sending you hugs |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | So sorry to hear about your loss!!! Try and focus on the fact he is not in pain any more. Know it doesn't help much but, your little fur angel is watching from above and doesn't want to see you in pain. Take care. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

| my heart really breaks for you in your sudden loss of your sweet benson. a little over a year ago my sweet angel nika became very sick very fast and her labs were completely off the charts too. she was fine one minute, and 30 some hours later, she was gone. she was thought to have necrotizing pancreatitis. my almost 11 year old yorkie zowi (was nika's mother) was diagnosed with cushing's this past june. i often wonder if my baby girl nika had it too and it was never noticed.... the dr's did say she probably had an underlying condition... i understand the pain of losing a sweet little angel, it is almost unbearable. since the passing of my nika, i do feel her presence around me always too. she is living on in my heart and in my thoughts, and always will. i'm sure at some point, you will be ready to have another little love find their own special place in your heart, and benson will always have his own place there too. wanted to share one of my favorite pet loss poems with you. it did help me to cope somewhat. you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. i am truly sorry for your loss of benson. I Haven’t Left At All I saw you gently weeping as you looked through photographs You paused for just a moment at one that made you laugh. But as you turned more pages the tears began to flow You whispered that you missed me but I want you to know; I softly licked those stinging tears that down your cheeks did fall I want to help you understand I haven’t left at all. On those days that you are overcome with sorrow, pain and grief I rest my head upon your leg to offer some relief. When you take our walking path I’ve seen you turn around Because I know you surely heard my paws upon the ground. At night while you are sleeping I snuggle at your side You stroke my fur as you touch that place where I used to lie. You said it’s just your heart playing tricks upon your mind But rest assured I’m really there, my spirit’s left behind. I know your heart is hurting; it’s like an open sore You think my life has ended and you won’t see me anymore. But for those of us bound tight by love, death is not the curtain call; It’s really the eternal beginning that waits for us all So as you live your life I patiently await For us to be together when you pass through Heaven’s gate

| I'm so sorry for your loss, I recently loss my first furbaby and I can sympathize with how you are feeling. I have finally got the point that I can look back and smile instead of cry. Take all the time you need before getting a new little pup. Lola had joined our family about 1 week before Kiwi passed and I do thank heaven for her, she has kept me busy and made the house not feel so empty without him. And even though I still have a hole in my heart without Kiwi, Lola has taken a corner of it. Remember the good times and take it one day at a time. It gets a little easier everyday. RIP Benson

| Thank you for posting this poem. I really do feel him around me. As I was passing I told him I would find him when I came to the other side and he better be there waiting for me. |

| I think I must be crazy Last night I was poking around Craigslist . . . A family had purchased a yorkiepoo from a breeder and their landlord wouldn't let them keep him. He's 12 weeks old. They'd purchased him from a breeder in Austin. I got him. He's not my dear Benson . . . in fact quite different. He's extremely shy and hides. He's a little black ball of fur. I just couldn't stand the loneliness. There's a big hole in my heart and I wanted it to go away. My daughter gave me a lecture. My son and his wife bought him for me. |
